Great food at this pub - sat in the bar and had 2 TV’s going with sports channels. There is a dining room that is more climate controlled. There is also outdoor seating under a picnic shelter.Only 4 beers on tap, and none local. - 1 star.Waitress was attentive, but as we were there at peak dinner time, it did take a while to get food to the table.Hiking, biking or driving, easily accessible to all.
We really wanted to love this grill we had heard about but unfortunately our experience wasn't what we had hoped for. I believe it could be really good and that we were here on an off day. They were very busy during the time we dined in. I can handle a wait for really good food but after 50 minutes waiting for my burger and fries that were overcooked and had mayo (asked for no mayo) and no cheese when asked for American, I was disappointed. We would like to try it again another time and hope for a better experience.
Wanted pizza and beer in Damascus after hiking 52 miles on the AT. Pizza was average, beer was cold, fried pickles where really good. Place was clean and our waitress was awesome. We did not have them but the bugers going by looked really good!
Parking: Parking was a front and side lot. Plenty available.
Great diner-style food at reasonable prices with an incredibly kind staff. They've got a nifty outdoor patio, but we opted to beat the heat indoors. Solid beer selection and excellent burgers. Rocket tots were everything I'd hoped and more. Perfect spot for a post-hike celebratory meal.
Great place for food and drinks after coming off the biking trail. These fried pickles are the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Beer was cold and food selection varied.
Good service but the food was average at best. Salad was really over-coated in dressing, fries were cold and the burgers were just ok. If you’re just stopping in for drinks I’d recommend it if you sit outside but for a meal I’d recommend going elsewhere
Our group of six ate lunch here after touring the Appalachian Heritage Distillery right down the road. Across our party we had chips and salsa, queso and guacamole, cheese sticks, buffalo wings, salads and burgers. 100% of the food was 100% delicious. The burgers are fresh, local beef so that is a must do. It doesn’t matter which one you get, they are all excellent. The place is very relaxed and the people make for a great experience.
Awful experience. I am only giving it two stars because the food was okay.We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after riding the creeper trail. It wasn’t busy at all. Our server was Heather. There were three tables and heather was freaking out about a 20 top coming in. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my girlfriend ordered chicken tenders, both satisfactory.Heather forgot to refill our drink, introduce herself, bring us a box, ask if our food was alright, just basic server duties. I understand that places get busy, and short staffed but come on. Perhaps Heather isn’t meant to be a server.
We get there to have dinner at 7.40 pm by 9pm they finally brought the order and only for part of the party of 7. We ended up cancelling part of the order and leaving. They take forever even to bring the check. Terrible service.
Worst service and food I have had in years. Ordered a mushroom Swiss burger medium rare. Took 45 minutes to arrive and it was like a hockey puck. Ridiculously bad.

We visited 3 times on our short trip here. The Backbone lager is to die for, all food we ordered was great. Live music even took our request for Tom Petty! Thanks a bunch!Ang.
Judy and I had a great meal at 7 Trails Grill today! Great service and great food!
Waitresses were the best part about this place. They were doing everything they could to make it a good experience. The burgers were crusty. Overcooked. The tots were undercooked. The French fries were overcooked and saturated with oil. When we asked the manager if it was normal, he acted like we were fools and just weren't use to seeing "fresh" cut fries. And tried to explain this whole process where they cut them in the morning and partially cook them.
They were short-staffed and very busy on a Sunday evening, but it didn’t matter, we still had a great experience! The meat pizza was so good, and our buffalo sauce tater tots with bleu cheese was so very yummy, too!
Stopped here after doing the first half of the Virginia creeper trail. Atmosphere was calm. Servers were great. Food was excellent. In addition, I left my wallet there. Thankfully I keep apple air tag in my wallet so I can track it anywhere. I called and my Wallet was indeed there. Spoke to a gentleman and he mailed the wallet to me in Hendersonville, NC. Thank you for being so kind and getting my wallet to me. If you are in the area please stop by and support this restaurant. We will be back!
