Best burger I've had in 40 years! The proportions of meat, bread, cheese and other toppings are just right so that the flavors blend well without one overpowering another. The meat paddy is mashed and juicy, grilled onions are cut thin and cooked well (per my request). YUM!! I'll definitely be back to try other entrees on the menu and to say hello to Alvin and staff who were all very friendly!

Just tried Alvin Eatz, was told it was good. I would have to disagree ITS GREAT. My meal was prepped in less than 5 minutes and I left satisfied.

Great service, kind owner and great food! This town needs a restaurant like this to stay. The bowls are great, the chicken has great flavor and is nice portioned.

Beef Burrito was awesome and HUGE! It weighed 2~3 lbs. Took care of lunch and dinner later. Went back the next day and had the smash cheeseburger. Also large and quite tasty. Highly recommended if you like great food and have a big appetite!

Amazing food! Right along the VA Creeper Trail between Damascus and Abingdon. Roll in on your bike from Abingdon for lunch or start your ride with breakfast.

Alvin Eatz is a new restaurant in Damascus, Virginia. The chef-owner worked for many years at the Angus Barn in Raleigh, North Carolina. The food is superb. The French dip was served on a grilled bun, and unlike most French dips, the ratio of bread to meat was perfect. One of the best sandwiches I've had anywhere. The macaroni and cheese was some of the best I've ever had too, with grilled poblano peppers. The pickles are house made. Alvin Eatz is a great addition to the area!

We stopped in here during their opening weekend. Cute location, amazing food (seriously amazing) and friendly staff! We LOVED not only the amazing taste of the Mexican Street Corn and Green Chili Mac & Cheese cups but the presentation is so cute for such affordable delicious eats! Our sandos and tacos were all delicious but the Dip and the KBBQ were outstanding.Vegetarian options: BBQ Jack Fruit
