Man-oh-man! The BEST unique sandwich I’ve had in ages…the Hillbilly Rueben. Not at all what I was expecting, much better! The pork was full of flavor, with chopped collards and Swiss cheese, and then a bacon jam. If I had read the menu correctly I would have not ordered. SOOOO glad I did! A-MAZ-ING!!! Service was exceptional. Can’t wait to make it back there.
Stopped in after a good morning of riding (Aug 26, 2024), while seeking some cold AC and good food. Loved the feel of the place, and the service/food was excellent! Burrito was packed, and very tasty. Lots of locals there, so they're definitely doing something right! Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!
I love small town diners, and Damascus didn't disappoint. For breakfast, I had classic fare of eggs toast and grits before I hit the Creeper Trail. It was just what I needed for a good start.
I was there 3 days before Hurricane Helene. The diner with the rest of the town was hit hard, so I know as soon as they are up and running again, I will be back.
