The Beaver Rage beer has always been a good go-to when I visit Damascus. Recently stopped in for the first time in about 5 years and bought the 22 bottle of Dankness Monster. It was excellent.

We went here pre-Covid and they had several beers on tap. You could do a sampler which was seriously awesome. It was like a map and there was a place for each sample glass. Now you can't even buy a flight. You have to pay for a glass!Very disappointing. We won't be back.

This brewery is some con mans dream!Upon arriving at the bar...I noticed they had glasses.(Every savvy beer drinker knows....that beer should be served and enjoyed in a glass) We ordered two beers in glasses. To our astonishment we are told that if we want beer in a glass it's going to be $7.00 for the glass and $6.00 to have it filled. What a rip...!Beer was OK! Bypass this one.

This is a small brewery in Damascus Virginia that had a decent selection of beers. When we were there they had eight brews on tap. They have a pretty good mix and really the only thing missing was a stout. We did 2 flights of 4 so we tried everything and my favorite was a New England IPA. This is a small place and no kitchen so bring your own munchies (I assume, but check). Finally they have good indoor and outdoor seating.

Bad service, average beer and the location can use some housekeeping. As we walked in, an I understand we are not from the area. The treatment felt odd. I asked for recommendations on IPAs, and he asked for the " black IPA" sample. Not sure if it is frowned upon to ask for a sample around this parts, but the server reluctantly provided me with a sip. As I felt that something was odd, I just said sure give me the IPA. She poured the IPA on the same plastic cup she poured me the sample. She immediately asked me to pay for the beer instead of asking if I wanted to open up a tab. We sat outside the back of the building. Drank my beer, it really didn't have much flavor. We left quick. The atmosphere was not inviting. Will not return.

The beer was not that good, it tasted flat.. the young manager that was on duty was more concerned with smoking on the back porch with his girlfriends, then intending to the people that were coming in to drink beer. The register would not work so we had to go get cash to pay our bill. Not their fault just an issue. And the new bartender was very nice, but had no clue what he was doing or serving in a brewery. For being the only brewery in this town, I would expect more.
