Barrel Oak Winery is a cute spot less than an hour from DC. The views are great. The wines are delicious. The staff is amazing. I may be biased but Jen Wanek is the best! Go see Jen and the rest of the staff!
No way to know when your food is ready. You gotta camp out by some exit & watch to see if / when it hits the counter. Which isn’t cool when it’s 40 degrees & windy! “Restaurant pagers” been since the 90’s - Amazon has them for $80-300 for a complete system. PLZ consider investing in them.

We recently had our wedding at this beautiful location. We had been here a few times before and loved the beautiful scenery, good food, and good drinks. When we decided to get married within 3 weeks, this was the first location that came to mind. It's about an hour outside of DC, so it was convenient for our guests.
