Met with unfriendly lack of service. Came in because it said they were open and it was during their hours. Didn’t see a sign that said reservations only, it was empty, and was asked in a very bothered and unfriendly way if I had reservations, I replied I did not, and was told reservations only. It’s not that you don’t have a right to require reservations but you could be kinder about it. And if it’s empty as can be, you can’t serve a cup of tea?
Such a fun experience! We drove an hour to visit this little tea shop and it was totally worth it. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Definitely going back!
What a quaint little teahouse! I wish I had taken pictures of the decor but it was lovely; I felt like I was in an English cottage. The service was great; our teapot was filled frequently to ensure we had hot tea for the entire lunch. The sandwiches were perfect; pimento, dill, and ( my favorite) the chicken salad. There was plenty of tasty desserts, more than could be eaten so I was able to take a “to go” box with the left over goodies! Scones with cream and jam were a hit. After our tea, we stopped in the gift shop; lots of very unique items! I could have spent more time there if I didn’t need to head home. The day was perfect! Thank you to the staff for making our day feel very special.
I had the pleasure of visiting the Tea Garden and will definitely be back. It’s attached to the Curious Quill and Draper is definitely worth the visit. The store and tea room are amazingly clean. The ambience is lovely and the staff is wonderful.

I really wanted to love my experience here, but truly ended up being very disappointed. The atmosphere and service was lovely, I am happy to give you that, but for a tea time experience i have some serious gripes with what happened with the cuisine. My partner and I were first served crackers with pimento cheese and pickled dish. This was fine, however, there was edible glitter on everything (a theme for the food for some reason) and the pickles were heavilly covered in dill, not disagreeable but not needed. I should also mention you do not decide what teas you are given, it is decided for you, so if you were hoping for choice, that is not here. Our second course was a tomato and basil soup which should have been decent but was so chunky it felt like eating hot salsa. Also covered in a disproportionate amount of dried dill. Gross. Extremely not a fan. We then moved into the sandwiches and scones. The scones were ok, glitter on the whipped cream was annoying, but the sandwiches were not only bland but also so unappetizing that I became immediately nauseous upon eating them. The chicken salad croissant was dryyyyy and became stuck in my teeth. The cucumber felt very one note and the ham sandwich was unusually sweet. Especially disliked these. Deserts were ok at best, but also very one note. To summarize. I think its a beautiful location and the service was lovely, but the food truly made it a bad experience. 2 stars

This was my third visit to the Draper tea garden and by far the worst experience. On my first visit, I arrived 30 min ahead of my reservation but was told I didn’t have a reservation, even tho I spoke with someone on the phone prior, who had confirmed my schedule date. They seated us but we were made to feel as if we had inconvenienced the staff. The food and tea were delicious however and we ended up having a nice time.
On my second visit, after we were seated, we were told the oven wasn’t working properly and that the scones were talking longer than usual to cook. We waited awhile but eventually our tray of food arrived with the scones.
On my third visit, the server told me the exact same thing about the scones; that the oven wasn’t working and the scones were taking longer to bake. This was 4 months later and the oven still wasn’t working? When the tray of sandwiches arrived, minus the scones it looked like it had been thrown together at the last minute. Nothing special and definitely not worth 30.00 a person. Eventually the scones were brought out. They were like lumps of “Playdoh” and were still raw in the middle. Completely not edible. And to top it off a 20% gratuity was added on automatically, for a party of 2!
Definitely will not be making another visit there again.

There were not one but 2 courses of pimento cheese. It was good and one was enough. Having tea is all about the scones. These were chocolate but not chocolate enough and not the right texture so basically a bland cake. There were 2 very tiny cucumber sandwiches, served with ham sliders and more pimento cheese. Tomato soup was spicy which doesn't suit high tea. Tea selection for flavored tea was good however black tea was only decaf and no cream offered for tea. Apple cake at the end was delicious and lemon shortbread cookie if a bit hard. Service good. Atmosphere great. Disappointed in food this trip.

Nice pit stop in Draper if driving on the free way. They have a large restaurant , coffee stand, bakery, chocolates and nice little store with fun goodies from the Amish and others. Great service all around def worth a stop if driving by.

My sister's birthday was celebrated with mid morning tea. It was lovely and whimsical. Fine china, several varieties of teas and sandwiches. Lovely chocolate and orange scones with marmalade, honey and fresh clotted cream. Dietary needs available because they make everything great daily. Quaint store in which to shop. A wonderful outing. HIGHLY recommended, but try make reservations because they are very busy!

Wow!! What fun we had today for our holiday tea service. The food was simply amazing, the service was impeccable, and the side tea room was the perfect quiet spot for three friends to celebrate Yule Season together. Thank you for everything!
My friend and I made a reservation for a weekday while on vacation. A bit of a drive from where we were but so worth it! The server (Amber?) was so very nice and the overall price for the amount of tea and food you get is great! I've only been there once, but from what I can tell this is not intended to be a quick cafe; expect to be there a while. Enjoy sipping tea and chatting with your friends as different courses are made and brought to you. You select the overall service (e.g. afternoon tea) but the specific food and most of the teas you are served are predetermined. The presentation is pretty and it's so relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place!
