The down home atmosphere and friendly service along with quality food makes this place a treasure! The people are stellar! Live music and an artfully restored old mercantile makes this a Must Visit! Close by is a walking trail along the New River, you can rent or bring your bikes. An amazing Labyrinth for a walking meditation is next door! Highly recommend! Also, a Tea room and gift shop on the same premises!! It's a treasure for sure!! Located a mile off I-81 Remember Jackie May said,..Draper is for Dreamers..

What a great little spot- the food and service were both excellent! Brittany was amazing, she was quick to offer suggestions as well as checked in throughout the meal. We had the corn chowder- delicious! We also had the burger and fried chicken breast sandwich, both very very good! The store was full of candles, soaps, specially food items, candy and souvenirs. They also had a bakery and a coffee bar that had every flavor of coffee you could ever imagine. A great find and so glad we stopped!

Very cool place! Lots of stuff to see and ambience is interesting. Staff was nice and polite. Service was quick. Coffee shop was good and well priced. Only issue was the food was not fantastic. Fried fish was mostly breading, fries were cold and salty. I would go again and see if the food improved.

Such a fun place. The coffee shop is in the Mercantile building. My sister and I booth had coffees with raspberry syrup. I had a hot mocha and I think she had an iced latte. Both were very good. I would definitely stop in again if I was in the area. We saw the sign for it on the highway. So glad we did!

It was our first time eating at Draper Mercantile and were very pleased. Restaurants in this area leave much to be desired and Draper Mercantile is a cut above. We had late breakfast and each both of us had one of the monthly specials. The food was great, atmosphere is fun and the service was perfect, just enough asking if all was ok and food came within a reasonable time. Look forward to return trips.

I love the atmosphere! The breakfast is meh... the lunch is better. But the atmosphere makes it worth being there.

I visited based on a recommendation of a employee at the Foster Falls Inn. We went on a Saturday night. The plate has charm and character and its truly loved by the locals. We even had live music that night. The food, service, and experience were excellent and we will be back again. Nice job crew! Let's get Draper back on the map !

I love this place. Brittany always takes such good care of me at the restaurant. Food is fresh and homemade. I love how it used to be a shop with the old wood floors. The shops and tea room are really cute. I also love the labyrinth on Brown Rd near their event hall. Turn at the giant metal rooster! These people care and it shows

Highly Recommended for the Food. Service really slow, but in their defense, they were slammed. This is a must stop for a delicious breakfast.

This is such a lovely place! We make it a point to stop every time we come through Virginia. The food is excellent, the people are so friendly, and the mercantile and tea house are wonderful!
