Great spot to enjoy some great food. The fried chicken was tender and juicy. The cornbread was amazing. Also the large house salad was large and the add on grill shrimp had a great flavor. Plan on stopping back.

I know this place is popular and Im not completely dissatisfied but there are some basic things that really just shouldn’t happen First try - small house was rather good but wrong dressing Egg rolls - without a doubt had been sitting awhile and were heated in a microwave. A bit high for stale product but it was late Chicken breast ala carte was perfectly cooked on the inside even my cat went nuts over it. Problem it was advertised as grilled and it was fried which was not as the skin was soggy. Not seasoned with anything Prodded 2nd time, was told no cheese for chili cheese and chips which boggles my mind on a Friday night but things happen. Driver asked if i wanted to cancel, I assumed the item but the whole was. I tried twice maybe one more but I’ll have to say while not awful it’s these kinda things that keel me away. Spicy ranch is awesome
Great food. Owners made you feel very welcome. Service was very good as well. First time had ever eaten there, owners came out and talked to you like old friends

Five star rating all around. The Cheese Steak Egg Rolls and Garlic Parmesan Wings were outstanding. The Cheeseburger was okay but expected it to be better, made with a fresh patty. The homemade drinks were very good. The service was outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place and will return.

Alice and I had been driving for hours and worked up an appetite. We were on our way to visit our nephew, who had been hospitalized for myocarditis. We stopped in and were greeted kindly, which was appreciated for us baby boomers to be recognized as people and patrons. We ordered Philly cheese steak egg rolls and collard greens. My only qualm was that they didn't have potato salad. Alice and I discussed the future our nephew was condemned to and how rehabilitation will be a long road for him. After our food arrived, we prayed to our Lord to watch over Steven, and proceeded to eat our meal. We left a generous tip and continued on our way to see our ill nephew.

My boyfriend and I have been going to downtown grub since shortly after it opened. Our very first time was great. The customer service was great, food was amazing, and it was just a really good experience. We’ve gone several times since then and also doordashed their food once or twice and nothing has been comparable to the first time. It feels like each time we go the food quality or amount or sometimes even both decreases. I’m a huge fan of their banana pudding but for almost $3 a container I wouldn’t order it again since this is the third time we’ve received it with there hardly being anything in the container. There’s been a couple of times where they’ve said they’re out(which can be understandable) and I would’ve rather that had happened today then get the serving I received today. Today I got a fish plate with Mac & cheese & corn on the cob. This is the small plate that comes with 1 meat however it’s $1.50 extra for fish which I didn’t realize at first. The corn was the best thing of my meal. The Mac & cheese was slightly sweet. My boyfriend got the cheese steak egg rolls which we’ve had before a few times. Today they did seem just a little smaller but were still good. His brother got a burger with fries and hush puppies and overall we decided we wouldn’t be returning. They did say they’re atmosphere and service were great today so I’m giving both those factors 4 stars.

Food is great. Service was a little odd when I first went in. No one at the front. Nothing saying order first or goto the counter. A few of the booths had kids toys on them so wasn't sure where to sit at first. However, the food is like having Angels dance on your tongue. I highly recommend the cheese steak eggs rolls and the Kool aid!!!! I'm sure you are reading that with a side eye.....all I have to say is try it.
