Good menu for a sports bar. The busy bar is downstairs and a quieter dining room on the main floor.

Doesn't look like much but that's just part of the charm. Just off I-81 heading to Claytor Lake, it's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. But don't let it fool you though, this place has it figured out. Good ole southern comfort food (I had the County Fried Steak - which was outstanding! Best Maryland Style Crab Dip I've ever had as well, well worth the cost by any means. The only disappointment is there isn't any of these out in SE Virginia! In the meantime though, we can hope... and go back again knowing we'll get a good bite to eat when we come through that way! - Cheers!

Just had lunch there & was very pleasantly surprised. We had the mussels and they were amazing! They were hot as soon as they were on the table & love the grilled bread that came with them. The capers & bacon in the cream sauce was so good that the rest of the sauce I took home in a container! Ahi tuna is delicious and my husband had the lunch special chicken wrap & loved it.Amazing, professional, friendly service from Britta! A co worker or manager came by to check on us as well. Very warm & clean inside! We will be back!

We absolutely love this place. But more and more younger and younger kids are being allowed downstairs after 9. It should be much earlier, but that’s the posted time. I am talking about tiny babies and toddlers. It’s so uncomfortable and super bad for their ears, and their general health and safety. It’s a huge liability for the bar. Please get a hold on it.

This happened, the tiny baby, two weeks in a row or I would never have left a review. Memorial or not, it’s totally inappropriate and makes customers uncomfortable. It’s a perfectly reasonable request.

Probably one of the best wraps I’ve ever had! They grill the entire wrap, it was great! Grills green beans were fantastic too!

Let me tell you one thing the french fries are beyond amazing. The dredge coating that they put on them before frying is absolute perfection.

We stumbled across this place while we were traveling, and I’m so glad we did. The service was great but the food stole the show. Everyone in our group raved about how good their food was, and I can personally say that I’ve eaten all types of blackened fish in all kinds of restaurants, but the blackened catfish from The Mason Jar was by far the best I’ve ever had! Portions were great, but I could have eaten several portions of the fish. It was that good. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
