Doesn't look like much but that's just part of the charm. Just off I-81 heading to Claytor Lake, it's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Just had lunch there & was very pleasantly surprised. We had the mussels and they were amazing! They were hot as soon as they were on the table & love the grilled bread that came with them. The capers & bacon in the cream sauce was so good that the rest of the sauce I took home in a container! We stumbled across this place while we were traveling, and I’m so glad we did. The service was great but the food stole the show. Everyone in our group raved about how good their food was, and I can personally say that I’ve eaten all types of blackened fish in all kinds of restaurants, but the blackened catfish from The Mason Jar was by far the best I’ve ever had! Portions were great, but I could have eaten several portions of the fish. It was that good. Do yourself a favor...
