Stone Mountain Vineyards

Closed at 4pm on Friday when it says its open. No signage or anything posted on the windows to say why its hours differ from what's posted. Drove all the way up here on a sketchy gravel road for nothing. Its annoying and inconvenient.

I’ve been to every winery on the Monticello Wine Trail and though this one isn’t on the trail itself, it is in the top 5 best ones. The gravel road out to the winery is not the best, but not horrible. They have a good wine selection and the view of the mountains is one of the best around, top notch. We talked to the owner for a little and she was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth a visit!

The ladies working the tasting room were very kind. Flattop mountain has its own vibe and the views are amazing. Come for the views, stay for the wines!

Such beautiful views at this winery. The gravel road makes it somewhat hard to get to it, but it is so worth it. The wine selection is decent and I would go back for 3 of the 8 options we tried. The warm bread and cheese were great too! I really loved the views and the day we visited there was also live music. The artist is from Harrisonburg and has a good selection of covers and his own works. Very nice experience overall.

Fantastic vineyard with just the absolute kindest staff members possible! They helped us in a tough situation when we were left without a ride out of the mountain. Went above and beyond to help. And the wines are fabulous too! With such a view. Well worth the drive up!

It was amazing experience. We have big welcomed from owner herself, such a nice and understanding person, she made our two hours drive well worth it. Personally loved the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, can’t wait to invite my friend to join us on this beautifully prepared and cared vineyard.
