FB doesn’t give “adorable goats” and “goat tower” as choices for a recommendation, but it should. Hampton Roads Winery has both. And wine — very good wine. We were shepherded into the winery by Augie the canine host, at which point Diane the human hostess took over and told us all about how she and her husband came to have the winery, the goats, and the goat tower. We had a light snack and a glass of Bacon’s Castle Win (not a typo) by a window where we could watch...
Very nice country setting. They make their own wine from the grapes they produce. Cheese and meat board with a flight of your choice of wine is the way to go. Outdoor seating behind the winery store is quiet and pleasant. Server was pleasant and courteous.
Omgoodness this is the best kept secret. Such a hidden gem that I'm glad I was able to experience it. A beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Had a nice chat with Ms. Diane and purchased a wine club membership. I enjoyed my tasting flight and found a favorite in the chardonnay. I will definitely return soon.
