Excellent (true) BBQ, both Carolina (vinegar base) and Original (tomato base)(believe they make their own).Inexpensive, rustic atmosphere (used to just be take out/walk up window, built walls around main cabin for dine in), no alcohol, but that's okay.

I ordered the sample platter with ribs and pulled pork with mac n cheese on the side. My ribs had barely any meat on them, but my fiance's ribs were very meaty, so hit or miss on the quality there. Both racks tastes like they'd been drowned in liquid smoke though - I could smell it before I even took a bite. The pulled pork was very finely shredded, and honestly tasted like canned sauces (a la Manwhich or Sloppy Joe). The service was great, and our waitress was vary attentive, but the quality of the food was not worth the (rather high) price I paid.

Went to try local bbq here. I asked several questions about the bbq they were serving and recommended sides. I ordered the original bbq plate. The bbq is nothing special. The Mac and cheese came out cold and was definitely stouffers Mac and cheese- probably why it wasn’t hot, they didn’t mircrowave it long enough I guess. And the green beans I got were canned (I’m fine with canned green beans as long as they are seasoned, which of course they weren’t.) I got a roll on the side that was definitely prepackaged. Since I work at bbq maybe I am a harsh critic but this place was just gross. Don’t waste your time or money on fake bbq.

Ordered a rack of ribs, because I was missing out on summer BBQ. I'm fairly certain the ribs weren't smoked but boiled. Had zero smoke flavor and for the first time ever (at least for me) they were greasy.
At about 1/4 of the rack and tossed the rest.

This place is. Rooting tooting. I’d skin three hogs just to get a wiff of the bbq this place puts out good quality food. Ain’t had a single dang thing I didn’t like here This is a boot tapping good time.

We went to the LGB and were delighted by the rustic charm and relics decorating the walls. Our waiter was a gem among thorns, seeing as most teenaged waiters are indifferent and don't care about their customers. Delectable food.
Husband and I ordered ribs. They were only okay. Definitely have had better elsewhere. Dry until you added extra sauce. Didn’t have all that much flavor. Mac and cheese was pretty good. Husband said baked beans were great. Cute quiet log cabin setting. Also offer ice cream and pie.

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars for the food and service.. All the food was EXCELLENT but their homemade coleslaw is superb.
