UPDATED Review: Before the past 2 months and during the 8 years of being a loyal customer, Ettrick Deli, was my VERY favorite place to eat! However, in recent months they have tried to serve me chicken wings that were raw in the center and an, absolute, disastrous steak and cheese sub! I had asked for extra mayonnaise on my sub and got some type of orange looking dressing on it that the owner insisted was mayonnaise. I NO LONGER recommend anyone eat the food served from the Ettrick Deli as it may make you very sick, especially, the raw chicken and unknown mayonnaise dressing! I have noticed in recent months that they have been closed on some weekend nights and that they are closing early during the evenings...at 7:00pm. At this point, they should close their doors permanently!

The food that I have here so far, has been outstanding! Everything was good. I really love the porkchop sandwich. It was cooked well and seasoned just right. The potato salad was good and looked good. The lemon cake was delicious. The tea was even wonderful. The place was well kept from the I outside to the inside.

I ordered a chicken philly cheese and it was, at least in my opinion, the best spicy level, it didn't increase or decrease, great flavor, the chicken was really good and wasn't dry. The pasta salad was my favorite so far, as a first timer but I will be ordering again to try other menu items. Ide like to add that the potato salad was very good too and fresh tasting.

The food gets the stars here! This was my 1st time. Unfortunately, I arrived just before a large order had been placed and there were 3 people ahead of me. So I waited about 45 minutes for 2 subs to go. Cheesesteak and an Italian. Despite being frustrated about the long wait, I waited until I got home to try the food before I did my review. Well the food totally redeemed the visit. Both subs came dressed. They didn't ask what I wanted on them and I was just fine with what they gave me. The bread was soft and fluffy, the meats popped with flavor, and both had a kick to them. We'll definitely be back! Very good subs. Might call ahead next time. ;)

Food was good. I grabbed some on the way to the amtrak as it is only a minute away. Enjoyed my philly cheesesteak and fries, and was surprised that the cheesecake was also tasty. I would return and try something new next time. Would recommend take out only.

I stopped at Ettrick Deli in order to grab some subs for the family. When I got there, I was greeted with a warm smile and wonderful conversation from the people who worked there. There was lots of people from Virginia State University, who were in line and they had placed their orders. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and honored all the various requests from the college students. I ordered a steak and cheese sub a chicken, Philly sub, and a turkey burger combo. The food came out in about 15 minutes and it was piping hot. When I got the food home, the family went crazy. Going to Ettrick Deli is always a special treat and we enjoy everything that we. I recommend that you call ahead for your orders so that you can get what you want and not have to wait too long. The outside area was very clean and refurbished and it was a great place to catch a gentle breeze at a slightly brisk fall afternoon.

Tried for the first time today the staff was pleasant and helpful ?. Food was bussin I ordered the philly cheesesteak sub side of collards mashed potatos and pasta salad . My sandwich was so big and yummy full of tender and juicy steak mushrooms melty provolone cheese. The pasta salad is delicious I believe the best I've ever had very tasty well seasoned and nice crunchy veggies . Definitely going to go again and try other items on the menu I will also have to bring a friend. A nice yummy spot to eat for children and adults alike. I wasn't able to take photos this time because of how hungry I was but it looked as good as it tastes great !

The food here is on point. I highly recommend! Everything is cooked thoroughly and seasoned just right. I had the Philly cheese steak sub. It's so good, and the cheesecake is delicious!

The menu has a decent number of options. The food is okay. It'll do if you're hungry. There are flies. There are a few tables and chairs to eat at on an enclosed porch, if needed, but if it's hot outside, you'll sweat bullets.
