The atmosphere was quaintly outdated. Service was very good, our waitress very friendly and helpful, and cashier also friendly and cheerful. I ate one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've ever had. We were a party of 6 and there were no complaints.Parking: There are parking spots around the building itself and if facing the building from the street, there is additional parking to the left of the building.

Oh my gosh. Stopped at Merk's Place in Farmville for lunch. Staff was super friendly and great family atmosphere. After I scarfed down a fried bologna sandwich with cheese and mayo (don't knock it til you tried it) That was just the beginning. For dessert, the absolute best fresh homemade coconut cake I have EVER tasted.....and I've been around a long time and tasted lots of cakes. I'm a TOUGH critic. It was the most tender butter cake...I was speechless literally. If you are close or in Farmville don't pass up a chance for dessertParking: Tons of parking. Entrances on both sides.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly. Lots of good size tables.

My mom introduced me to this lovely restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff are so warm and remember you when you come back. And they have a lot of desert options. The service is great and there is lots of parking (parking is on both sides of the restaurant).

Eggs and waffle not fully cooked. We ordered two waffle platters. We got one cup of coffee and no orange juice. After we were served our meal, our waitress ignored us after that. She never came back so we went to checkout to pay and when we asked her we were told we were not entitled to a coffee refill although we saw everyone else being served coffee refills. We were told if we wanted the juice we could have it to go. I don't think anyone would like to be treated this way. We paid $24.00 for poorly prepared food and to be ignored. We were very pleasant to her so we can't understand her attitude.
