I’m not sure I can put into words how great an experience it was for my wife and I tonight. Our waiter, Chico, was top notch! Chico was extremely helpful with my wife’s food sensitivities, and he was very knowledgeable of the menu. He advised on what he thought about a dish as well as other customer’s reviews. The espresso martini’s are a must! They were the best we ever had. Then to our dishes. Both came highly recommended from Chico. My wife had the Maltagliati, I had the Spaghetti Neri. Knocked out of the park. Perfect amount of spice and perfectly cooked handmade pasta. I’d like to say that we can’t wait to come back again and try something else on the menu, but I don’t know if I could come to Marzano and not get the Spaghetti Nero again. Exquisite!

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the fresh pasta and flavorful entrées. You can really taste the quality and care in every dish. A perfect spot for a special night out or a cozy dinner. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Warm hostess greeting. Cordial and knowledgeable waitress that described numerous menu options. Delicious garlic toast, and bread w/oil pesto dip. Marzano salad with vinaigrette dressing was picture perfect and delicious. Enjoyed the tableside velvety alfredo with hint of Parmesan and blackened salmon served on side. Satisfying, delicious, and tasty dining experience.

Manchester’s hidden gem! We came in a few weeks ago on a whim, sat with Mike at the bar and found a happy hour that was insane. Incredible deals on apps but the service provided by Mike was impeccable.
We came back a couple weeks later and sat again at the bar again with Mike. We got tips on how to make my husband’s favorite drink a good ole old fashion.
The music was lively and the staff by far has been the most hospitable team that we have had in a long time. Watching as the whole team jaived together, bouncing from one end to the other anticipating the needs of their guests. Coming from the restaurant industry tho was so refreshing to witness them interacting will all their guests.
The food was delicious! The mussels and ribeye with rissoto my word! We had the pasta special which cant recall the name but the seafood and fresh made posts with the lightest lobster broth, AMAZING !
I wish that I would have gotten everyone’s names to give the team the well deserved praise they deserve. The whole team from the other talented bartender to the bar back, to the sweet Manager Crystal who checked in on us as we had our first cocktail to personally biding us farewell on our way out.
We enjoyed suck pleasant conversation with their entire team feeling like part of their special family! Even the guest surrounding us were engaging in conversation, something this day and age lacks.
From beginning to end this was an incredible night for my husband and I and to finish it off a warm handshake by the Chef himself! We will definitely be back with our friends and wish nothing more than to share this special place located right in our back yard!

It was clear the restaurant read the comments I made when reserving through Open Table. They greeted the birthday person and sat us in a quieter place in the restaurant as requested for a person in our party who needed this accommodation. The food was excellent, especially the whipped ricotta appetizer. Our server, was very attentive and personable. Every worker we came into contact with had a smile on their face and attended to our needs. Have been coming here since the restaurant opened, had not been in a while and it is still great!

This is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the DMV. None of the dishes disappointed! They were all fabulous. The bartenders also know what they’re doing. The cocktails were spectacular! I had a delicious tuna tartare to start with a beautiful platter of prosciutto, homemade fig jam, jamon, and cheese - tasted incredibly fresh and very flavorful. My third course was a pasta with fresh shaved truffles. I am generally not a pasta eater, but this was just perfect. My final dish was a ribeye over truffle orzo and green beans. The ribeye was my favorite dish. It was cooked to perfection - medium rare. I will definitely be back, over and over again. Also, I meant the owners, Elena and Chef Marzano. They make you feel like family. Thank you for a beautiful experience!
Took my Mom there and we both absolutely loved it!! The people that worked there were really welcoming and the fooooood...delicious!! We drove about 45 minutes to get there and we are both happy we made the trip. Will be back again sometime!

We have eaten here a number of times and have always had a wonderful meal. Last night was different. We came for a birthday celebration. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The appetizers, Arancini, Bruschetta and the Buratta were outstanding. However, my mother and daughter got the special, a seafood medley over pasta in a cream lobster sauce. The sauce was like water and the taste matched it. Extremely disappointing.

Had a wonderful dinner! Great food and wine selection. Wait staff was also outstanding. Chef came out a couple of times to check on all the diners. Our new favorite Italian restaurant in Alexandria (though they have been at that location for at least ten years). Not a large place - recommend reservations. Parking seems to be in the garage around the corner, thought there are several handicapped spaces in front.
