The food is reliably good, but the service was a little lacking this time. The restaurant was surprisingly less busy than usual for a Saturday night, but the waiter didn't really spend any time with us, and it took a while for someone to pick up our dirty dishes.
We frequent this restaurant as we live in Alexandria and the food is always on point. Carlos was our server and he did an exceptional job. We each had a signature cocktail and we highly recommend the Cherry Blossom Gin concoction. It was sublime.
This was our first visit. We are looking for a new Italian restaurant to replace our local favorite that recently closed down. We had driven past Marzano dozens of times going to the Inova building just up the street, and a slew of very positive online reviews indicated this was a great place for us to try. Since it's on the ground floor of an upscale office building we were curious to see how they treated the space. This was the biggest miss -- you definitely feel like you still know you are in an office building, and it is noisy as heck. It may partially be due to getting seated at a table near the bar, instead of the glassed-in dining room beyond, but that space seemed more for private parties. But the interior lacked anything to soften the miles of granite bar; the walls are bare and the aluminum/ glass storefront has an unobstructed view of a driveway. So that was a bit disappointing since it does little to make you feel like you are having an enjoyable dinner. But the food more than held it's own for the most part. The two pasta entrees we had were flawless, and the carpaccio was delicious. The arancini suffered a little, though. The tomato sauce was slightly cool, and the arancini had cold spots. Maybe a pot of sauce had recently come out of the fridge and wasn't fully heated yet? The cold spots on the arancini were harder to understand. For dessert, the tiramisu was flavorful. The playful 'plating' in a inverted cone-shaped glass looked nice, but resulted in a heavy layer of mascarpone on top, and the flavors did not meld all the way through like what happens when you prepare in a tray and let it sit overnight. It was full of delicious individual flavors, but did not fully come together. We'll definitely return to Osteria Marzano, but -- mainly due to the atmosphere/ ambiance -- it will not be where we go regularly for family dinner. But we'll be back occasionally for cinghiale!
Such an amazing menu so hard to decide what to order! I enjoyed the seafood special. Portions were large. Perhaps a little too salty for my taste but still delicious. My spouse had a spaghetti carbonara dish that he enjoyed. I wanna go back and just order appetizers and drinks and sit at the bar next time as there were so many things that look good on that menu. They even brought us a complementary dessert as we were celebrating an anniversary. The server was pretty much top-notch. He didn't hover but was nearby when we needed something. I will definitely go back.
We had a great dinner! Thanks for seating us early, we really enjoyed our date night. Great service and excellent food as always!
Food was very good but the portions were too large but it didn't stop me from enjoying every bite. Service was excellent.
Alex was an excellent server. The food was amazing (as always). Thanks for a lovely evening.
We came for Father's Day. The food was great and staff were great. We love this place and will definitely be back.
OM never misses. Service is always impeccable and the food never disappoints. Great time for my fathers birthday dinner!
The fettuccine in the cheese wheel is my absolute favorite dish but I enjoy everything there. Pasta is fresh, pizzas are great, fish and meat dishes are fantastic. Truffle season is a must.

The food is really good here. I really enjoy the variety of Italian dishes that they offer. However this time it was all about the meat steak, rack of lamb and salmon. Each one was cooked to perfection. The rack of lamb was awesome. Plus they have an awesome wine selection even though it is a little pricey. If you get a chance, check this place out.

Nice place, tucked away a little in the industrial park. Great food, many choices. A little expensive, but well worth it. Plenty of alcohol, with a bar inside. Would definitely come again.
Dietary restrictions: They had gluten-free pasta substitute
Parking: They have 2 hour parking spots in the garage behind the building
