This cozy bakery has phenomenal cinnamon buns. There’s no picture because I snarfed it down so fast! My husband and I split a “triple berry pie for me” (single serving) which is pictured, it was also divine. Definitely recommend!! We’ll be back again.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a yellow cake with buttercream frosting for a birthday celebration, and it was absolutely outstanding! The cake itself was soft, moist, and perfectly fluffy, with that classic buttery flavor that makes yellow cake so comforting. The buttercream frosting was silky-smooth and just the right level of sweetness — rich but not overpowering. Together, the cake and frosting created a perfect balance of texture and taste. It looked beautiful on the table and tasted even better than it looked. Truly one of the most delicious birthday cakes I’ve ever had!

I have been getting goodies from Down Home Comfort Bakery for years now. Always a treat to grab one of their famous cinnamon rolls, pies or a cake for a special occasion. They are a must visit any time we are on Main St.

We were driving to the Shenandoah area from DC and were in a pinch to pick up a dessert. Down Home Comfort Bakery saved us! I was met by two very friendly faces, and the atmosphere was filled with southern charm and hospitality. We ordered the triple berry and pecan pies! Thank you!

This is a MUST stop if you are anywhere near Front Royal! This bakery has, no exaggeration, my favorite baked goods ever. Personal favorites include the breakfast bars (great camping snacks!) and the pecan bars. The cinnamon rolls are perfection, both the classics and the rotating flavors. The service is always friendly and helpful. We love stopping here and have gone out of our way to visit many times. It is worth the trip every single time! Can't wait to go back!

Rotating special recipes. Staple sweets. Delicious cakes, pies, and more to satisfy any sweet tooth. Got coconut cream pie, berry rolls, cinnamon roll bread pudding, and cakes. What a special place for the town to have. So sad I can’t move it home with me.

This place gave me the best sweet berry rolls I ever had in my life. I don't know what's going on back in that kitchen but I'm here to tell you it is magical. I'll be thinking about these rolls for awhile. You should stop by and get you some, too, if it's berry season.
