Great winery with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had a tasting, then enjoyed a few glasses under an umbrella on their lawn. They have a beautiful piece of land, with a gorgeous view of their vineyards and Skyline drive. I highly recommend Glen Manor. Their wines are top notch.

I've been going to this winery since they opened and the wines just get better with each passing year. They still offer counter tastings, which are not only delicious but extremely informative...a full history of each wine and even pointing out the particular vineyard on the slope leading up to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and on the map. The view is of the western slope of Shenandoah National Park and you can even see (but not hear) cars on Skyline Drive in the distance. The prices seemed steep when I wrote my first review of this winery but now the prices are inline with other VA wineries. I can't think of a better getaway for a day - the winery is a comfortable drive from Northern VA, and very scenic. If you're coming from the south, on route 340, make sure to take the Bentonville Road route up to the winery (instead of driving nearly to Front Royal and taking the Browntown Road route). Browntown, by the way, is a picturesque Valley village - memories of The Waltons while driving through.

Went for the first time to this winery after a hike and it was delightful. We got a tasting and it was very thorough, which I appreciate. All of the wine was excellent. It is a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful place to relax with a glass of wine. I definitely plan to return.

Amazing location with great views! The service was lovely and the wines were good. I just don’t love that you can’t pick your choice of samples for the flight as I did not like any of the white choices they had on there. Otherwise it’s a great place to hang and the bread was a cool touch to add to the cheese and meats we brought with us!

Their Hodder Hill is one of the top Virginia-style Bordeaux blends — better in recent years than the legendary Hardscrabble from Linden and Octagon from Barboursville of the same vintages. Must visit winery if you care about the actual wine and want something that compares to an exported French red, not just something you drink because it’s “local.”

After our hike in Shenandoah National Park, we stopped by Glen Manor for a glass of wine as it is very close to the trails. When having wine here you get to enjoy the same stunning views as hiking in the national park. The scenery is truly breathtaking. The service we encountered was exceptional. The staff members are true wine experts and treat you like royalty. The wine itself was fantastic. It's worth noting to bring your own snacks or lunch as they don't offer food on-site, but they do allow you to bring your own. With a spacious patio and outdoor area, you can sit back, unwind, and fully absorb the incredible mountain views. This will be a post-hike tradition for me from now on!

What a lovely place! We had a fabulous tasting. The owner was so knowledgeable and you could see and hear her love for the vineyard and wine in every word she spoke.These folks grow their own grapes and just their grapes go into their wine. No additives. The wine has a fresh distinctive flavor and body. I have never tasted wine as delicious as this.
