Khukuri is a hidden little gem. I can't believe we're so fortunate to have them here in Front Royal. The food is always delicious and they give you a very generous portion size for each dish. Some of my favorites are the butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and I absolutely love their Mango Lassi.

We ordered dinner based on recommendations from our Indian friends and went with mutter paneer, daal makhani, basmati rice, fish, and gulab jamun for dessert. The experience turned out to be deeply disappointing. The gulab jamun had visible mould on it, with a sour smell that made it impossible to even taste. The mutter paneer had an odd, stale odor, as if it had been sitting for far too long before being served. The fish was the worst of all, it had a strong, nauseating smell, almost puky, making it clear it wasn’t fresh. Even the basmati rice and daal couldn’t save the meal. We were genuinely shocked, especially after hearing such positive things from friends who usually know good Indian food.

Started with the mixed vegetable pakora - shredded vegetable fritters fried to a nice, crispy golden brown. Served with 2 sauces. One sweet, the other slightly spicy. Also tried Khukuri Choela. This diced grilled chicken appetizer is seasoned with a rich blend of garlic, ginger, and various and spices, including turmeric, and cumin. It is full of delicious flavor. Moved on to a robust Gorkhali Goat Curry, a fragrant tomato based, seasoned dish. The meat was perfectly tender and seasoned all the way through. Be careful, as goat dishes are known for their sharp bones. Of course I had to try the perfectly crispy, tandoori-toasted garlic naan and a Mango Lassi, the perfect drink to cool the heat of your dish, if you didn't order mild, like I did. Perfect, delightful meal and so much to take home. This was my first time at this restaurant, and I will definitely be back again. Thank you for a great experience!

First time dining here and we all loved the food. Waiters were very friendly. We will be coming back more often.
Only thing I take one star off is that when we paid by card, it chose the 20% tips for you among the 18%, 20% (default choice) or more based on the total amount of the full price + 12.3% tax and fee (and I don’t know what fee it is and why it is so high! ).

My family thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The chicken tikka masala, lamb biryani, and baigan burtha were really excellent. The place is also clean with chic decor, and the staff are nice. Would highly recommend

I rarely write reviews but this time I thought I had to add this review because me and my family had a very BAD EXPERIENCE in this restaurant. It felt like staffs were dominating the Nepalese community by how we were treated in the restaurant today. They ignored us since the beginning and weren’t even coming to take our order till we called several times.
The food was worst. We ordered Tandoori wings which we found few pieces were RAW and even told the staffs but they literally ignored us and didn’t even apologize for our inconvenience or asked us for reorder or anything. Chowmein didn’t have any good flavor in it. Dal bhat achar thali was not even better than how it’s made in nepalese homes. We couldn’t eat the food much because the flavors that should be in the nepalese cuisine was not good.
They should definitely work on their menu and food service mostly.
Hope other customers donot have to experience what we had today and SERVICE MUST BE GOOD FOR ALL GUESTS WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION.
