We had a simply scrumptious meal from Khukuri the other night. All the dishes were flavorful but I cannot stop thinking about the Chitwan Mutton!! Loved it!! Next time we are in town this place will be our dinner plan!

We drove there for about 1 hour and 1 minute from Dulles airport area, Virginia.
The only reason why I couldn't rate 5 stars are : The smoky lamb chop presentation on hot stone looks interesting. However the flame smokes caused my kids and myself coughing. Maybe they could do something abt it to fix it. So we could rate them 5 stars instead.
Also, the servers did not warmly welcome us. They seem too cold with no smiles often.

Considering all factors, food quality, taste, service, and price, this is our favorite restaurant in Front Royal. We have been going there occasionally for 4 years now and never had a bad meal. It's fun to try something new each time as they have a lot on their menu and you can order your food as mild or spicy as you like. I recommend a level 6 or 7 which is spicy but not so spicy that you can't taste the food. The prices are excellent. The servers are very attentive. It's not a fancy looking place but for the price I can overlook that. It's clean and neat. There's only one negative, and that is the draft beers don't always taste fresh. If you want a beer I recommend just ordering it in a can or bottle. I suspect they don't sell enough beer to keep the draft beers fresh. I wish they offered a Nepali drink like Rakshi. I've never had it but I read it's the most popular alcoholic drink in Nepal.

The server was standoffish and blatantly made it clear she'd rather we weren't there. The food was awful! I love Indian cuisine, this was not it! The butter chicken was gross! I couldn't hardly eat it. No butter flavor and the tomato sauce tasted like it came out of a chef boyardee can. The chicken vindaloo was very spicy but zero on flavor. My father ordered an appetizer and a main course, they were exactly the same thing! Seriously! I hate to give a place bad reviews but this was awful. The establishment was clean and beautiful.

Expectations Vs Reality. This place does not have authentic Nepali Thali. 🙂
The hospitality was the worst I’ve ever encountered. I went with my family and the service guy was stalking at us. The waiter was baggering us constantly and making u feel discomforted.
I felt unsafe and unwelcomed at this place. I wish I could have rated negative on hospitality aspect.

I don’t know where to start with. The CUSTOMER SERVICE was Pathetic. I have been to a lot of Nepali restaurants and this was never the culture that I am sure Nepalese promote.
The server was “continuously” staring at us. Came to our table multiple times asking repeatedly “Are you guys done eating”
My wife literally had a bite in her hand and it was so obvious that none of us were done eating.
We felt extremely unwelcomed. I later asked the server about the urgency he was showing as the restaurant was not even 20 percent occupied and there were a lot of free tables (6-8 free tables were there). His response back was “I thought you were done eating”. Like seriously! We had food in our plates and we were chewing it when you stopped by to ask “are you done eating? // should I take the plates?”
I usually never give bad reviews as I understand the efforts which goes into a business to make it work, but this was one of the most terrible experiences I had so far.
After I confessed to the waiter and when we were about to leave, a lady from my group went to the restroom and the lights were switched off twice when she was inside. She got terribly scared. Not sure if it was out of pure hatred the waiter showed to us but it feels like it was. She literally came out brisk walking and we left immediately.
Due to their pathetic service, the food (which was good) looses all the charm.
I hope the actual owner look into this seriously and get things right there.

Do yourselves a favor and eat here for the best Nepali food. Rivian was smart enough to put their chargers within walking distance and thus the reason we visited this establishment for lunch. We fancy ourselves as adventurers (as many Rivian owners probably do) and this place pulls at the explorer heart strings with amazing flavors from Nepal.
Kid-friendliness: Yes to kid friendly, as long as they like food that is better tasting than classic American
