McAlister's Deli

Was a good place to eat, unfortunately permanently closed now.

The owners of this McAlister's deli and the one in Fairfax are the same people and they are nothing but thieves. Stole from their employees... Outrageous

Food is gross most of the time, and extremely overpriced. The owners don't care, which is why they're going out of business. They treat their staff like garbage, and serve literal garbage to the public. Potatoes are never fully cooked, or if they are they're burned from excessively sitting in the warmers. Bread is hard, and meats are often slime covered.

Always great food and lots of it!

3 different times I’ve come during business hours and it’s closed.

We always have a great experience at McAllister.we came there shortly before 7pm looked closed. Over half the restaurant had chairs on the tables appeared closed from the outside.

There is nuance to my star review, and that simply boils down to a wrong online order upon pickup. While what was provided was delicious, soup and a grilled cheese simply cannot fulfill the void left from the expectations of a pastrami sandwich. I've called twice now with receipt information over the past month only to receive confirmation that it'll make it to a manager for review, but otherwise no refund. Like I said, delicious, but disappointed. Plan on dine-in or if you make takeout orders, check the food before leaving.

Me and The Wife ordered from the Front Royal, VA location. They were very super nice and the food... well let's just say I slept very well! If you go, I recommend the McAllister Club and The Spud Max!

Agree that this place is hit or miss. Sometimes OK. Sometimes not. Last time visited chili was brought out cold. When I returned it they simply took the same cup I gave them and super microwaved it until it was nearly boiling. Never apologized or even offered crackers to go with it. Young kids seemingly running the shift more interested in chatting with each other. Sandwich OK but sour cream for Spud a wet liquid mess. This place could do better.

I just can not get behind this joint. The sandwiches are delicious but the price for some reason is just too much for what you get.

Please tell me how this is NOT microwaved bread and cheese. Bread is not even toasted. It’s disgusting. How hard is it to make a grilled cheese? At a sandwich shop?? Will not be ordering again. Inedible, even for my kids (and they don’t have crazy high standards.) They are better off with a lunchable!

At McAlister's Deli in Front Royal, Va., we were very satisfied after a long day trip in the car. The crew were friendly, courteous and just plain on the money. This particular location is in Riverton Commons Plaza. This one tops the one in Myrtle Beach, SC. Highly recommend !
