Our friends keep raving about this place, so we came in for an early dinner. Unfortunately, we don't see what all the hype is about. The bread was really good, but all of our main dishes were just okay. The seafood pasta had a very thin sauce that didn't stay on the pasta. The lasagna wasn't flavorful. The pappardelle was average. The service was very friendly. But the wait was super super long even though it wasn't very busy, and the server didn't say anything about it. We decided to skip dessert because we didn't have the patience to wait any longer. We might give it another shot but our expectations are low.

Incredible food and friendly service! I had the puttanesca, which was the perfect mix of salty and spicy. The gorgonzola gnocchi and cacio e pepe were flavorful and delicious. The stuffed mushrooms were also terrific. Our party of 8 was thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommended!

Osteria Maria was recommended by several of the local wineries and we are SO glad we took their advice!!! We arrived for an early dinner due to other plans and glad we did. By the time we left it was full.The food was absolutely AMAZING and the service was impeccable! My wife and I both had the special; brisket ravioli with a parmesan cream sauce. Hands down one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The tiramisu was to die for.I cannot recommend this place enough!!! If you’re in Front Royal this is a MUST stop!!!

For my mom’s birthday this weekend, we four kids and our sweet spouses took her to Osteria Maria for dinner. It is a little gem. The service was lovely, and the presentation beautiful. Between the nine of us, we tried a lot of appetizers and I’ll admit, that grilled octopus was delicious. All the entrees were authentic and mouth watering. It was a great experience! We look forward to visiting again and again ❤️

Good food and atmosphere. Was a tiny bit let down by the focaccia but everything else was amazing. I had the fettuccine mushrooms and cream and my guests had the branzino and pasta & pepper and everyone finished their food. Definitely a place to sit and spend the evening with good wine and food. I do miss the bianca pizza though and wish they would bring that back. 10/10 would return again.

Wonderful food, homemade, they have a brick oven for homemade pizza, lasagna was wonderful, and the meatballs are almost as good as mine definitely finer dinning then a local pizzeria. The owners are wonderful stuart's of the community. A new business that did not hesitate to support Warren County Habitat for Humanity both years.
Family owned and operated with attention to food sources and preparation techniques. The owner/chef has a culinary history rooted 20 miles away in Rappahannock county. The Inn at Little Washington VA graduates three star chefs including the Oseteria's. A small dining room allows the staff to give attention to guests without being intrusive nor absent.

This place deserves 5 stars, its a lovely local restaurant. Food was amazing and staff were great too! At the end we forgot our leftovers and someone came out to the parking lot to give it to us! Truly a great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place for a date :)
