The food takes a while to come out but the staff was nice. The food tasted good…. but my husband and I both got food poisoning after eating here… we only eat at chain restaurants but decided to give this place a try… that evening and the next day we felt so sick to our stomachs and I ended up violently throwing up the next day because I felt so nauseous. Guess this is my sign to stick to chain restaurants.

I love a good breakfast joint. This is not one. Cozy looking and promising when we sat down. Food took forever to come out. Orange juice was like the crap you get out of a spout at a hotel. Not that I expect fresh squeezed but this was worse than the frozen crap. Pancakes literally had to be cut with a steak knife. A serrated friggin steak knife. Ham was mediocre. Eggs were fresh enough and cooked a little shy of the desired over medium. Toast was like prison toast. Like toilet paper thin. Hash was crispy on one side and pretty much hollow and devoid of substance beneath the surface. Servers were cranky. Won’t be going back.

An out of the way find. We were headed down the interstate and pulled into a Cracker Barrel for breakfast only to find it closed for repairs. We did a quick search and found this little place 15 minutes away. Like stepping back in time, it has the atmosphere of a small town diner, with old pictures of the town from long ago. Great food and super nice staff. Love finding these little treasures.
