We always look forward to eating at this restaurant on our trips the Shenandoah. The BEST Thai food!!!
It's a very good Thai restaurant !
I have had good experiences in the past here
This time the food was extremely spicy and they said it was only mild - wouldn't go back again
Used it for takeout. It was still hot when I got it home. There were no leftovers.
This place is fenomenal. The spring rolls are crispy yet packed with flavor the pineapple fried rice is exactly how it sounds. Packed with flavor the shrimp ads great texture. The ingredients in everything is extremely fresh. The Thai tea was to die for both tastes of tea and sweetness. The mango was fresh and sweet and paired beautifully with the mango cream on a bed of sticky rice. Inexpensive but amazing quality for the price. I would go here everyday if my wallet could afford it.

Good food.
Fantastic flavor. Very authentic. Delicious. Definitely worth the wait. Yes a very extensive wait. The waitress appeared to be waiting tables, doing carry outs and cooking in the back. That’s not her fault. However that explains the subpar service and wait times. I hope they get her some help. The food however was WONDERFUL.
Normally the food has been great, but lately the taste and spice isn’t consistent. We ordered takeout tonight and it wasn’t very good and I couldn’t finish it, which is really disappointing.
Very good Thai restaurant

I've eaten at about 15 different Thai places in Portland, OR, and this place is top rated among those places! We ordered the softshell crab , tom kha gai, massamun curry, and pad thai. It was all great! Our waitress was also very attentive.

10/09/2024 tried the Thunwa Thai curry puff appitizer, this was delicious, and the pastry was very flaky . I had to try the Pad Thai with chicken again . Definitely worth it and plenty to take home, too.
See pics .
Older entry: My first trip to Thunwa Thai was perfect . I got Satay as a starter with peanut sauce and pickled veg. I also had an entree of Pad Thai with chicken . Nice brightness with a lime wedge and ground peanuts served on the edge of the dish for those who want to adjust that and wnough food for a to go container too . The atmosphere is a little dated but very clean inside and large tables . This is worth a try for those that like Thai food .
I plan a return trip .
