This Thai restaurant is great, family owned and operated. The food is really good and the owner is so welcoming. I would love to have this restaurant in my town it reminds me of my favorite Thai place in San Diego.

The paad Thai was overly sweet and the massaman curry was lacking in flavor.

Ate on the patio outside. We had a curry dish and a drunken noodle dish. Both excellent. Had wine with dinner; I liked my cab. Service was attentive but not hovering. Very relaxing place to dine.
We came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Space was light filled, high ceilings, calm and cute decor. They swiftly accommodated large group of 11. Service was kind and quick. Food was ample, fresh and flavorful. I found a fine range of menu items for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free friendly eaters. We enjoyed the crispy duck- great texture and spice, We got the stir fry ginger with tofu, pineapple fried rice with chicken, crispy duck, drunken noodles . Our water glasses always filled. To note, a large group, tip was added automatically however there was still a section on the receipt to add, was a bit deceptive.

We stopped for a relaxing dinner, the hostess greeted us and walked us to our table. It is a large open space so depending on the customers I can see that it could get a little noisy. I started with the calamari for an appetizer: How was it - lightly breaded and so tender. The dipping sauce had a citrus start and a warm finish. An enjoyable start. She had a seafood salad How was it - refreshing, nothing was either over or undercooked all of the seafood tasted quite fresh For a soup I had Tom Kar How was it - wow, floral, lemony, great depth in the flavors. The tofu was creamy/tender, every bite was a good one. As our mains I had the crispy duck How was it - hard to explain...it was like having Christmas in my mouth. The spices were magnificent, the duck cooked to perfection and the fried basil leaves had a fun texture and nice flavor. She had the tofu green curry: How was it - this was the only disappointment, the depth of flavor was really not there until the heat was added. The tofu was a little too chewy. Dessert I had a coconut ice cream . May have been better accompanied by the fried banana. We will definitely be back for the food and comforting atmosphere.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Try Thai in Front Royal, VA, and it was an unforgettable experience. The broccoli and mushroom tofu, alongside the yellow curry, were simply the best I've ever tasted – each bite was a perfect blend of flavors that left me wanting more. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment, providing a lovely backdrop that perfectly complemented the meal. What truly set Try Thai apart, however, was the service. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff were unparalleled, making us feel welcomed and valued as customers. Highly recommend Try Thai to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Front Royal.Dietary restrictions: The multiple vegan options here are stellar.
