Beware of credit card scam at this place. Restaurant charged my credit card twice, refused to refund even after they had acknowledged the double charge and said they would. Owner is slimy to deal with. Really poor experience dealing with these people.

Solid Japanese restaurant located in Front Royal. A wide selection of Japanese cuisine i was very impressed.

From sushi to Nigiri to ramen. All the good Japanese Sake and Beer. Great place to eat some good Japanese.

Update: the manager reached out to me with compensation. We went back today and had a lovely meal. The sushi is honestly the best I’ve had in the area and she was so apologetic. She said she’s training new staff and it was their first weekend without her since she had a personal emergency and couldn’t be there that weekend they were just doing their best. They clearly had no idea how to resolve the situation last time, but the manager was very kind and truly made it up to us with this meal. Everything was perfect and she even served us herself. The white tuna and salmon is particularly buttery and tender and she even included extra of those because I told her we loved them!
Every restaurant has off days and this more than made up for it!

We were there for two hours and never got water despite asking for it. We ordered apps that never came. Half of the entrees never showed up. We asked our server if she knew what we were missing and she had no idea. We left hungry and when we asked for a discount or literally anything to make up for it, we were told no.

Poor service, server was on her phone, only three tables sat, restaurant smells like sewage, only ordered 3 rolls, but it took over an hour to come out. Not worth the wait. Will not be going back.

TURN ON THE HEAT!! The food was excellent very delicious fresh couldn't ask for better service or food. The problem was the restaurant was freezing cold at 60° by the thermostat on the wall. When asked if they could turn up some heat they said it was on but the owner turns it off or down really low at night so it takes half a day to get it back up to temperature. One family left said they were going to cracker barrel because it was too cold in there to eat. We put our coats on and waited it out because the food is always very good. If the owner wants to save money set it at 68° and leave it at 68°

I went with a party of 8 and had a reservation, but was sat at the wrong table at first. So we moved to the reserved table again when the host of the party got there.
We ended up waiting for 15-20 minutes without service or drinks. Which was confusing since there was only one other table besides us when we originally got there.

It was super cold (50 F) inside but slightly warmed up after 2 ish hours (52 F). I would recommend bringing at jacket if you come during lunch.

The food was okay. Not good not bad. I definitely wouldn't pay over 20-90 bucks for it again, though. Maybe that was partially because our orders weren't double checked by the server. My side of the table, ended up getting food we didn't order. It was okay, because we still ate it anyways.

Another one was our check got mixed up even though I said my side of the table was individual, several times. A lot of communication problems.

Haven't eaten from here since the pandemic. Stopped in recently for lunch. Had shushi/sashimi only. Fresh and delicious just like I remembered and they offered a free tasting during lunch hour of another roll. The young server obviously lacks experience but was trying.
