Favorite place to be on the weekends and Tuesdays for half off burgers Jacob and aj are the best

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Bar Louie, all thanks to our phenomenal server, Savannah. From start to finish, she made us feel welcomed, and completely taken care of.

Savannah was the perfect combination of friendly, professional, and attentive. Her positive energy made the whole evening better than we could’ve hoped for.

It's rare to find someone who elevates a night out just by being themselves, but Savannah did exactly that. If you're visiting Bar Louie, do yourself a favor and ask for Savannah—she’s a total rockstar. We’ll definitely be coming back, and she’s a big reason why!

Jenny was an amazing server! Love her so much! Would come back just for her!!

Aj is a really great bartender! She makes great drinks and has a great vibe!

Hello Bar Louise
This is my third letter to your corporate headquarters and no response from Bar Louie.

On May 26, 2025 at 1915hrs. My husband and I went in to use my birthday reward at the Gainesville, Virginia location.

After waiting 20-25 minutes for a server to come to the table there was less than six people in the restaurant she finally appeared. I told her I had a birthday reward.

She told me I could not use it.

It had to be used on my birthday which was a few days earlier. I said there was no expiration date on the email coupon, she still said no.

I asked to see a manager.

The manager came to the table and said the same thing. I told her we had been coming there for years for happy hour and our birthdays and this never happened to us before.

We felt we did not matter nor did they show care. The manager seemed put out by the whole situation.

After a short discussion my husband and I left disgusted. We went to another establishment.

No response from Bar Louie previous submissions. Appears as if something has changed at Gainesville Bar Louie.

Not planning on returning.

Bar Louie has some of the best burgers I have ever had. I loved going here when I lived in Virginia. I tried a lot of different things on their menu and everything was always so good. It isn't too busy most of the time which is nice and it's in a great location. Staff was always friendly as well.

Their service is absolutely horrible. You sit at the bar for over 30 minutes before anyone even comes and addresses you.

I do not do reviews, and I don't think I've ever done a restaurant review, but I'm feeling inclined. Our server, Rachel, was wonderful. They were out of Blue Moon and tots. Both, no big deal. Then my cheesesteak with French onion au jus came without the au jus or the sautéed onions. I wasn't told ahead of time they were out of those items or I would have ordered something different. My husband's meal was also supposed to have ingredients that were missing. I asked about it— they were out of these things. Of onions?? Just maybe not managed well to be out of so many items.

We made reservations for a special family brunch on Easter. Worst dining experience of my life. The poor waitress was only on her second day of the job. She was working her tail off as there was no chef. The manager was apparently acting as the chef. My scrambled eggs were brown and had turned to rubber, another family member ordered an egg dish which was served in a black oval dish. If the food inside was an 1/8” deep, also rubber. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and great location, but there were only 3 tables full of people. Guess the word is out that this is not the place to go. It's a shame as the Ashburn location is wonderful.

The food was delicious. We chose the New Year special four course meal for 2. It was great. the only complaint was that our appetizer was brought out at the same time as our meal.

We reserved a high top via your website- when we arrived there was no host to greet us and no one acknowledged us. After more than several awkward minutes we just went to the bar.
We came in an 1.5 hrs before our scheduled movie next door for a few drinks and light bites (to be clear it was early in the evening at it was not busy )
Jacob was kind and courteous- after we were finally able to get his attention.
HOWEVER
-You were out of at least 3 beers we tried to order
SOUP took more than 30 minutes - had no croutons (French onion) and only came out when Jacob actually went to check on our food.
Flatbread had hardly any arugula and no blue cheese crumbles. (Again took OVER 40 minutes)
We had to rush and eat as we only had 20 minutes before movie started.
Unacceptable at your price point to have so many missing ingredients, and no host on a Saturday dinner.

Would not recommend unless you have plenty of time to ….wait, and wait., and be disappointed.
Next time we will visit another local joint before our movie.

I came with my family on Christmas Day at 5:00 pm. There were five of us. W the order e ordered the appetizer of guacamole, salsa, and cheese dip. The cheese dip was only lukewarm and the guac and salsa were fine. We each ordered our meals. The meals came out in stages. Two person got their meals and then one other person got her meal and then another person got his meal and then the last meal didn't come out until everyone else was finished. We asked to see the manager and he or she never came over  I understand it was Christmas day, but the restaurant was not very busy. Disappointed in the service we received. Our waiter was nice and did apologize several times.
