Honestly idk why the reviews are so bad. They must’ve changed management or something recently. I ordered boneless wings to go, and they were juicy and well-sauced. I’d definitely go back if I’m hankering for Korean fried chicken again.

First time trying the tteokbokki it was really good!!! Highly recommend, my wife and I love chicken wings and this place did not disappoint! We order half garlic and half spicy it’s so crunchy and has a great taste! The place is small but it’s comfortable to dine in at. You can see what I order on my tik tok @walteroggomez

I when there to eat with a group.I ordered a wrap bolgogi. And that's the only thing I have eaten that day. I have been vomiting and getting diarrhea for two days now and counting!.. I didn't tip maybe that's why. I might have been food poisoning. Even my mate experiencing the same thing. Terrible!??

Their listing on Google states they close at 9pm on Sundays. Arrived at 7:45pm, and they're closed. Doors locked, lights off, but the OPEN sign in the window is still lit up!This is outrageous as a customer. Waste of my time. I'm almost glad it didn't work out, though, because it drove me to the Google Reviews. The Manassas location has a 4.5 star rating on Google, whereas this location has just a 2.8 star rating. Now I see why this location has a low rating. If they don't even care enough to turn off the damn open sign, they don't deserve your business.Do yourself a favor and go to another restaurant in the Gateway Center vicinity or drive out to Manassas if you've got a hankering for BonChon.

Called in a to-go order here on a Saturday afternoon. The staff member in the phone was super friendly and efficient with taking the order quoting of 5-10 minutes for the order to be ready. Got to the restaurant and it was indeed completed within time quoted, as well as accurate order. Friendly service and the food was perfect!

Normally I go to bonchon in Manassas since we have a large family and order bigger orders but we tried the Gainesville location for a second time hoping it was better than the first time. Don't waste your time or money here, the Manassas location is 10 times better. The Gainesville location charges the same for all these items but gives you a much smaller portion: fries, coleslaw, kimchi, and they also have much smaller and thinner "chicken strips" compared the the thicker and fuller strips at the Manassas location. All in all just go to the Manassas location and skip out on the Gainesville location as a whole. You'll thank me later.

I used to frequent the Bonchon in Manassas but decided to give this one a shot when I discovered it was closer. Let me tell you, I'll be sticking to the Manassas location for sure--the food there is significantly better. To top it off, I attempted to purchase a gift card, but they had closed an hour earlier than their website indicated, without any sign or apparent reason. Not the best impression; Manassas Bonchon is definitely the preferred choice

Bonchon is great. This location is not. The wings are half the size of other locations, at the same prices -- which means this location has effectively doubled the prices. I did send the corporate office a message about this and they never replied so I will add my review to the others saying the same thing.

Worst food ever, I'm not even sure how this place stays in business with the poor quality. The food from here does not reflect Korean food accurately and really truly butchers the authentic taste. The employees are nice but they got to do something about the taste.Been to many Bonchon before but this one here in Gainesville, tasted the worst. Also, I am Korean American who's been in both sides of the culture for decades and know what an authentic korean food tastes like. This place butchers it to death. Let me say this again, THIS IS NOT HOW AUTHENTIC KOREAN FOOD TASTES LIKE. I also understand that it's a "FUSION" or whatever the heck that is supposed to mean. I do know that if you're going to use the word fusion it better be at least somewhat more delicious in some other dimension rather than getting closer to tasting like sh...t. I'm afraid people who have never realized the authentic beauty of Korean food will be totally turned of by the butchering of this place. Please get a better chef! I normally never even post reviews. I don't do this. Stay away!

We love the chicken wings, but get tired of getting ripped off. They always short us on wings by 1 or 2. It is not just once, but multiple times. It is sad that people are dishonest.

Went here for a corporate meal. That was a mistake. They keep the temp inside near 80 degrees for some reason. The floor was sticky and the chairs wobbled and felt like they were going to fall apart. Very cramped seating. They nickel and dime you for every little thing here. Ranch was extra... for wings... They also didn't bring out items we ordered and said we never ordered them. It was hard to tell because they didn't provide an itemized receipt. My ketchup had a giant fuzzball in it. Food was below average for bonchon. Disposable cups and plastic plates are used. Every other bonchon I have ever been to provides real dishes. This is an embarrassment to the brand. I know it's franchised but still... this is a new low. This place earned it's 2.8 out of 5 stars.

We are bonchon fans but got takeout yesterday and we were super disappointed. We ordered online for 12:35pm pick upIt wasn't ready until 12:45And then the product was totally disappointing. Have they changed to a frozen chicken product? The tenders which are usually flat, and crispy and saucy were long and soggy and barely had any sauce on them, and they were super tough, as though and chewy. Sad to see the change and hope this maybe was just a fluke

Bonchon has amazing chicken wings but the customer service at this location is awful! Drinks had bugs floating around in them. Order came out wrong. Restaurant employee (tall, thin Asian man) insisted it wasn't. The way the transaction was handled after that was ridiculous. The man counted out wings and got really petty quick. I would not return here. There's a reason for the 2 star rating!

I don't really understand why, but the chicken at this Bonchon is totally different than at the Bonchon in Centreville.Don't get me wrong, If you've only ever tried this one, you'll love it. It's great. But then as soon a you go to the Centerville location and eat theirs, this one will forever disappoint.A little time will pass. You will forget about the difference. You will remember how good Bonchon is. You will order from here. And then you will wish you lived closer to Centerville. So on second thought, if you already like this place, DON'T go to Centreville. So that it doesn't ruin this location for you.Because like I said, this actually is very good. Just not AS good.
