Great food and service 👍

Food quality and service has declined compared to 6 months ago. I have had stomach issues since dining here last night. Will not be returning!!!

Big rip off. Jacked up their prices big time, such that regular entrees are in the upper $20s price range. The food is decent, the prices are not. They seemed to have confused they are not a high end restaurant they are a mid range Mexican restaurant. Eventually people will wise up that average food should not be priced like a high end restaurant. Have gone there over the past 10 years, the last time we went and saw the grossly inflated prices and decided that was the last time we were going.

El Tio Gainesville catered a wedding reception for us. Oscar was ridiculously helpful in choosing menu items and ensuring all of our concerns were addressed. The food was delivered on time, hot, and (need I say) absolutely delicious. We ordered steak and chicken fajitas and set up a build your own fajita bar. There was plenty of rice, beans of your choice, tortilla chips, and an abundance of delicious guac, sour cream, and salsa. It was an absolute hit with our guests.

If I could give these guys six stars instead of five, I would. Many thanks to the El Tio staff!

Love me a tacos and burrito

One of the best Tex-Mex around. Their steak (anything) is always amazing, tender, perfectly seasoned. In fact I can't order steak anything at other tex Mex places because it always pales in comparison.
Servers have been there for years, always friendly and happy. Highly recommend!

Always a great experience. Food was delicious. Queso was perfect and salsa was super fresh. Chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce had a ton of flavor. Margaritas are always on point and they have a vast draft selection! Definitely a family favorite.

We've been coming here for years and have never had anything but an excellent time. The food is incredible, the drinks are perfect (delicious and STRONG), and the service is second to none. I've never been to another restaurant with service as consistently fantastic as El Tio; the whole staff chips in to make sure everybody is topped off at all times. One of my favorite restaurants hands-down.

Wow! We stopped by here last Friday for lunch and Luis (and the entire staff) gave incredible service! The margarita he suggested was delicious, the food was served fast and was so good, and the overall experience was fantastic. We will be back with the extended family!!

Solid Tex Mex place with great service. Fit the bill after a long day of hiking the Shenandoah foothills. We ordered chicken fajitas and bean + spinach enchiladas. Highly recommend!

It was a busy night but the staff were attentive and friendly. Food was great, as always.
