We started out with AYCE crabs…but those were pitiful. You pulled all the meat out of them pulling the claws off! We told our waitress we wanted a dozen of the large and we got the last ones they had (at 5 pm). Those were 100% better! This place is good but they’re really ripping people off with those small AYCE crabs!

Me and my family were out eating on Sunday at around 6:30pm. The service was HORRIBLE we asked many many times for condiments and we never received them so we had to get up to grab them our selves. Our server never came back after certain periods. Including the owner Danny’s WIFE was so disrespectful after they charged us incorrectly for the tip that was already added on the bill which was $49 for 4 people by the restaurant. Then after we have left Danny’s wife ran after us after we left the restaurant. We would never recommend this place to anyone anymore not worth it. The place was so much better before they got new management. Our last time coming to out of the blue.

If you like fried seafood, as I do, you'll love this place. I had a fried platter including fried oysters, scallops, hush puppies, and onion rings. They were delicious. The downside was that the ice tea was not good - pretty sure it came out of a soda fountain.

The crabs looked great but we're very expensive. We might try them next time, but might need to take out a home equity loan first ;).

Service was good. Music was excellent per my tastes. They played lots of Dave Matthews when we were there.

Over-priced for mediocre food quality; server got two of our orders wrong. Also, did not seat us until 10-15 minutes after our confirmed reservation time even though restaurant was maybe half full. Staff were friendly. We won’t go back.

One of the best seafood restaurants I’ve been to in nova! All types of seafood ranging from clams to shrimps are seasoned and cooked so well. And I haven’t had good crabs in awhile!

Also, this restaurant is extremely clean, which is not always the case for some seafood places! Every staff is extremely kind. Emma was our server, and her service was phenomenal. She frequently checked to see if we needed anything and never rushed us.

I highly recommend this place and am planning on revisiting!

Came to this restaurant on a Tuesday. Out of the Blue had some great specials and strong drinks! Our server was a very kind and patient person. He went above and beyond to help get clarity on the ingredients that were listed in the food (my son has an egg allergy and we were invited to come out and eat with family members). I highly recommend this restaurant as the food was great and seating was perfect. My favorite was the clam chowder. Please be aware the clam chowder is thick and not as soup as some people prefer. I love my chowder thick, to me this was perfect!

Dietary restrictions: Please let your serve know before ordering food if there are any allergens for your group. They will double with the kitchen and let you know if that allergen is in the food.

Kid-friendliness: They have a nice selection of kid meals that even the pickiest eater will still find something to eat…or not, who knows with kids, am I right?

Wheelchair accessibility: No steps and lots of spaces. You shouldn’t have any issues inside or on the patio.

This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Our waiter was just amazing. The atmosphere was ok, nothing special to write home about. In all it was a very nice dining experience and I definitely plan to come back.

Came to this location with my fiance a week ago on Sunday evening June 23rd as a treat. We came here based off of all the wonderful reviews they have. I must say we were very disappointed. First of all, our waiter started off on a bad foot. He came to our table and took our drink order which was fine, but after he brought our drinks he asked us if we needed more time and we responded just a couple more minutes and then he was a ghost for a good 30 minutes! The place was pretty dead. We were sat in the dining room and there were only two other small tables in there with two people each other than us and and only a few people at the bar. I'm not sure if he was bar tending and waiting on tables, or doing multiple jobs, or what, but that was ridiculous and we were about to walk out when he finally came and checked on us. Don't get me wrong, he was very pleasant and smiled and all the staff we dealt with were pleasant as well.
We ordered the crab dip, which was meh! It tasted more like salt than anything else and overpowered the crab. I ordered the crab trap with sweet potato fries and asparagus just so I could have some fiber. The shrimp were very good (typical tasting shrimp), and the snow crab legs were good too as well as the fries. The asparagus was disgusting and tasted burnt or maybe like the grill hadn't been cleaned in a while and they were very soft and limp.the blue crabs sucked and didn't have enough meat to feed a baby let alone a grown adult because they were filled with mostly poo!
Not sure what other dishes are like here, but just from the service alone for it being dead, probably won't be back to try anything else.
If you visit here, stick with the snow crab legs!
