Our main courses were equally memorable. The classic chicken tikka masala and chicken madras came out bursting with flavor and were complemented beautifully by fragrant basmati rice and soft, garlicky naan. Vegetarian standouts like dal tadka, paneer makhani, and palak paneer truly impressed the whole family, demonstrating authenticity and skill in every bite. Great experience at Pakwaan! The ambience was very nice and welcoming. I ordered the Goat Biryani and Madras Chicken — both were flavorful, well-cooked, and among the tastiest Indian dishes I’ve had in the Gainesville area. The restaurant was also very clean and well-kept, which added to the overall dining experience. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants around Gainesville, and I look forward to coming back!

I worked for Cintas for 7 years and have been inside hundreds of restaurants and dozens of Indian restaurants. This one was hands-down the best. The flavors were perfect, the preparation was excellent, the wait time was minimal.
The pricing for food of this caliber was great. You probably won't find better Indian food in the DMV and certainly not for that price.

This place is so fire! From the food to the service 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩I always stop in when I’m craving Indian food. Tandoori chicken is so freaking amazing I find myself order take home after already eating my food there. That’s because I don’t live up here. But all in 10/10 rating for me. Remind me of my favorite spot in California I eat at.

We ordered tandoori chicken and tandoori chicken marsala. Both dishes were bland and lacked flavor. The marsala was watered down and tasteless, while the garlic naan tasted old and reheated, with barely any garlic flavor. Overall, the food did not taste authentic, and I’ve had better Indian cuisine.

We wanted Indian food and ended up here and we’re glad we did. I got the lamb rogan josh (full spicy) and my husband went with the chicken curry (medium spicy) and we shared a bread basket with garlic naan, plain naan, and roti. Everything was really good. The flavors were rich, the spice levels were spot on, and I love the garlic naan a lot. Service was quick too. We’re definitely planning to come back and try more from the menu

I tried this place after a long time and it’s still the same with tasty and fresh food, one addition today was a Pakwaan Special Alcoholic drink with masala, refreshing and tasty the owner made sure all the food and drink were up to mark. I will recommend this place for a tasty spicy Indian food.
