When we came in we were told they have a new menu. Only tried 2 appetizers. The chimis were very good. The chicken quesadilla was awful. Can’t believe a Mexican restaurant doesn’t know what a quesadilla is. It was rolled up and deep fried and hard. The service was excellent. 😀 They have new music now and it’s absolutely annoying elevator music. Again, for a Mexican restaurant?! When I mentioned it to one waiter, he said it’s a corporate change and unfortunately they have to listen to it all day.
We decided to give Uncle Julio’s a 3rd chance after our last 2 experiences were pretty bad. Our daughter requested it so we decided to give it another chance and yeeeep, the food is still pretty gross. The guacamole was brown, the food was so bland. We literally couldn’t finish our meal. Our server was very nice though.

It was our first time at uncle Julio’s Gainesville.
We were so disappointed , the food was terrible my rice was hard like hard balls and dry like if it was made a week ago , unsalted food , poor quality ingredients. You literally don’t see an effort from the kitchen.
It’s a shame the restaurant is nice but the food is not good at all . The place was literally empty , only 2 tables the bar was empty .

This location is not as good as the others. Food came out in spurts and had to constantly ask for what was missing. Then was told they didn't have to part of our dish. The experience at this location wasn't good at all.

Great patio staff experience! As luck would have it, our 10/4 visit was a first for our waitress. She made a fabulous impression on us with charm and grace. Uncle Julio's needs to clone this one as she made this a wonderful experience.
As has always been the case, the food and drinks were excellent and what a fantastic night to be on the patio!

Great overall. Everything came out quickly even thought there was an event at Jiffy Lube and the restaurant was busy. Tasted great. Forgot how good it was. No pictures because we ate everything.

We travel a lot and was looking for Mexican food while traveling thru the Washington DC area.
The food was delicious, the servers were pleasant and willing to serve.
It was an hour before closing and everything was still fresh and delicious

Good food but I called to cancel an order and the person went to ask someone for help and put me on hold for 20 minutes. So I hung up and called again and someone else picked up and immediately helped with my issue, so they clearly just forgot about my call the first time and had me ghosted for 20 min 🦧
