Ok so let's start with positive vibes. Service was absolutely amazing. The lady was so kind and thoughtful. Atmosphere was authentic. Food. Honestly not the best and over priced. For 2 ppl. It was $35-$45. Can't remember the exact month just new it was around there.

Ms. Kuang (front desk, server, owner) is such a kind and hardworking lady. Always ready with a smile and story.
The food rocks. They are willing to make accommodations and the service is fast! Mr. Kuang really knows how to make good food in an hurry. We always get vegetarian options and they are always fantastic.

The entire food order for my family was so inedible and when I called to make it right she laughed me off the phone and even put a customer on the phone to tell me I was crazy .. no accountability. Really disappointed

I never thought I’d find a Chinese restaurant this great anywhere south of the mason dixon line. Food is fantastic and the atmosphere is also. Service is fast and friendly. The flaming volcano drink is delicious and fun. Crispy beef and orange chicken are delicious. Highly recommend

The food was good but the amounts were very small. Ordered a large General Tso's Chicken and a large Sesame Chicken with 3 egg rolls. The amounts were very small in the containers to be almost 31 dollars. Very disappointed

10/2024: This an interesting place. Very friendly owner/server is always interested to talk about the food and, if not real busy will try to cook to order. That being said, almost every time I eat here I find myself surprised by the taste, preparation, or flavor of the food. Not bad just never what I expect to get when I order. Very few Chinese vegetables or spices used in most of the dishes. Of all the items I have tried, General Tso chicken probably comes out closest to what I expect. Egg rolls get four stars or better. They must have had a buffet in the past, but I have never seen it open. Nice secluded bar in the back and they asko operate a small pool hall next door with two regulation size tables. In the six months or so I've been in town the schedule has been pretty variable. At first they were sticking pretty close to the published hours except when they would take a few days or a week off. They closed before the big 'hurricane' of 2024 like almost every business in town, but have not reopened, even though they don't seem to have any visible damage. Now showing 'temporarily closed' on Google map. Too bad, since it does have potential to be much better and has the best location for me to walk to.
Parking: Main street in old town Galax, so at some busy times you might have to look around a bit for a space, and sometimes you can park right out front. There is a free city lot about a block west where I have never failed to find a vacant space.
