Wouldn’t recommend. All the food came out looking and tasting the same (like mushy Chinese-American…NOT Japanese at all). Even though we ordered several different dishes. Asked if they had sushi and they actually laughed at us and said people wouldn’t buy it here? Skip it and head over to Bamboo Garden for some decent Chinese take away.

I really wanted to like this place. The food was actually pretty good. They just don't give you enough. Especially the chicken and steak. Looked like a kids portion. Too many carrots they weren't very good and extremely light on the proteins. At 14 a plate I truly expect more. Won't go back.... go to wytheville for better hibachi.

This place was not what it seemed to be on Google. Yes, it is old, it could be cleaner. The food was average at best. The customer service left a few things to be desired. I usually will give a place 3 visits before writing a negative review. I will not return to this establishment.

Who the hell is giving this crap a 4.2? This was the worst excuse for Japanese Hibachi I’ve ever had! Asked for a water with lemon they don’t even bring you water just a plastic water bottle, or canned soda. The food was awful, why even bother asking me how I want my steak if it’s well done leather no matter what you say. Yum yum sauce was miracle whip garbage! Nothing about this place was good. I left and went and had KFC down the road! If you want the most bland flavorless food and small portions, this place is for you!
I typically don't leave bad reviews, but had to here. Went here with a group of 6 guys. Walked in and the entire place smelled of old wet floor, akin to days old wet towels. No sakè, bummer but no big deal. Ordered food, one of our party is allergic to shrimp and we made the waiter aware, I'm allergic to chicken and we also explained that to the waiter. Got our food waiter had no recollection at allwho ordered what. ate for about 3 minutes and the one of our party allergic to shrimp actually found a shrimp mixed in his food. Waiter apologized and had it remade but didn't even seem to care. After that I couldn't even eat, nervous they might have mixed chicken in with my food. I will NEVER go here again and recommend others the same. We are lucky we didn't end up in the hospital due to this establishments absolute carelessness and stupidity.

Stopped in at Kyoto At Virginia in Galax Virginia with my wife and son for lunch. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We ordered Two Combination Plates and my son ordered the Hibachi Chicken. Service was awful took 25 mins to get the soup and salad that came with the combination plates. The salad was warm and inedible. Once our food came to the table the experience continued to get worse. I had the steak and scallops, the steak was inedible the scallops were chewy and overcooked, my wife had the Chicken and Steak with the same result inedible steak, rubbery chicken with no seasoning. And to top off this horrible dining experience the waiter didn't even bother to place my 12 year old sons order. Avoid this place at all cost definitely disappointing

The food was embarrassingly bad. The vegetables were mushy and cold, the "fried" rice was just mushy, microwaved, brown rice. The "jumbo" shrimp were tiny and didn't even come off the skewers. The steak were these tiny cubes. The waiter was trying to tell us we had to pay because we had only a few bites. None of us ate more than a fork full of that food. $75 for 4 people is ridiculous. I would be ashamed to call this Japanese food. Disgusting.
