Very good food! I love LJS! It's a very underrated restaurant. We don't have but this one anywhere in our area. I have no idea where the next closest is. It is very expensive these days. It wasn't ever super cheap, but it is most definitely priced high for paper plate kind of restaurant that is self-serve. The fact it's the only one in our area, I would think the owner of it would try to keep it looking more up to date and clean. Outside was little run down, and the door on condiment cabinet was literally hanging by 1 hinge and standing open. The employees weren't very friendly. They were very attentive to the order screen but not so much the customer. Had to wait for someone to eventually speak to us and finally take our order.

I love the batter on LJS fish chicken and shrimp. Their hush puppies are always spot on with their signature slaw A lone ranger restaurant...not many of them left. They still serve your food with a smile when they bring it to your table.

It would have been better if the food wasn't so greasy it made it heavy. For the price, it really should have been much better. I couldn't help but wonder just how long they had been using the grease. It's not a great thought to have as you are eating food cooked in the grease
