Went twice for a white cake for our pregnancy announcement cake was delicious got a butter pecan cake it was alittle dense not as moist but the flavor was spot on! The hospitality of this bakery wasnt fully there, just greeting someone when they walk in would make it less awkward. The first lady I spoke to was nice, the second lady I spoke to was older and kinda rude she made me feel like I had to take my business elsewhere but it still gave them a chance.

I can’t say enough good things about The Galax Cakery! I ordered a retirement cake and it was perfect! Beautifully decorated and delicious. I actually drove over an hour just to get it, and I’d do it again without hesitation. The care and detail they put into their cakes really shows, and the prices are more than fair. They made a special day even more memorable!

We’ve given this bakery multiple chances, but it’s always disappointing. While the cakes look great, they taste awful—dry and completely flavorless. On top of that, the owner is rude and unaccommodating, even when given plenty of notice. Definitely not worth the hassle or the money.

After several years and delicious cakes from TGC, I am taking my business elsewhere due to my most recent horrible experience. I do not hardly ever do poor reviews, but my last experience warrants one. To make a long story short, I ordered a pound cake with cream cheese icing that was discovered after having been picked up that it was without icing. After calling them back, they asked me to bring it back knowing I am not a local. Getting this mistake corrected was such a headache and the staff were defensive and wanting to place blame saying I had not ordered the cake to have icing, which I have a message to prove otherwise. Humans are not perfect and we all make mistakes, but it is common sense and good business practice to go above and beyond to right your wrongs, which was not the case here. As much as I have loved the product from this business, I feel like they have became too focused on quantity, over quality and it is showing.

I had the Galax Cakery make my grand daughter a Happy Sweet Sixteen cake. Not only was it perfect but the taste was incredible. They also make a fruit tray, vegetable tray, chicken salad croissant tray and sausage balls! I absolutely recommend them!
