We stayed here as an ROD member. I am thinking 40 years ago it may have been a lovely "resort". Not now.Very run down, no hot water in showers. Club house was run down, empty, in cared for.Pools were either empty or dark green. Anything wood was bug ridden, rotten, and unsafe: decks, picnic tables, buildings. Half of this place is full of seasonal rv's that are also rundown, eyesores.The lake is nice, the pine trees are pretty, except for a large branch that fell on our neighbors awning and broke it. This place needs some huge love and work. It could be so much more.

I left without dinner last night because prime rib sold out, no crab legs available and everything else on menu was fried which was the last thing I wanted to eat. I will try again as the prime rib there is good, but that was their second strike so hopefully next time will be better again.
Who doesn't love a Restaraunt that you can ride up in a boat to the dock, tie off, grab a table, and enjoy the view. What a treat. This was our first visit to this establishment. Our expectations were high. As we walked down the dock checking out the other boats tied off along the way we could hear laughter and good music. (Be mindful of any loose boards) We were greeted as soon as we walked up and seated at an 8 top right on the deck viewing the lake. The menu had a lot of appealing items to select from. A majority of them being fried seafood fair. The prices were reasonable for the selection as well. The six of us all ordered something different. I had the Firecracker Shrimp (huge!), my wire ordered the crab cakes (disappointing due to more filler than crab at $22 for two), son had the 8oz burger (he loved it), tenders for the little guy, my uncle ordered the alligator bites which they were out of so he picked the catfish nuggets, and my aunt got the chicken nachos. The portions were rather large. Down to stars. I'm on the fence between 3 or 4 for these reasons. We arrived around 2:30pm and probably waited just over an hour for our food. The little ones were restless and cranky. The food was decent with the exception of the crab cakes. Servers were overwhelmed somewhat due to customers sharing stories from what I could gather from nearby tables. People are chatty when the mixed beverages are flowing. However, I love the experience, vibe, and the view. So 4 it is for this trip. You should check them out. I would definitely like to come back. It was really fun and I can only expect that place to get crazier as the summer goes on. Side note: If you order water, there is a $0.95 charge. Also there is a membership discount, but I don't know what that entails.

I can only talk about the Family Fun Center . If you do stay in this resort the Family Center is very cool . There's many things to entertain you or your kids under one roof . The staff is very friendly and the place is well kept. I only went in to use the restroom. ( which were very clean) The campgrounds are nice as well. For campers or Lake goers .There's a beach and a playground. Seems to be a great spot if you wanted a weekend away to fish or relax.
