Moved here from California and was excited to try a new place with birria here. It was pretty good. The manager working was excellent. However, the rude waitresses are the reason we will never come back.

Sign out front, google, and this Facebook page all say they close at 10 - however we were turned away and told the hours were changed and the kitchen was closed at 8:45.

You lost 4 customers tonight ( Saturday). Our server was informative telling us if I wanted corn tortillas and my husband wanted flour tortillas on our fajita for two it would be an up charge. It’s sad that four adults shared the chips before the meal but it would be an up charge for a second bowl . I asked for a refill on my water and was told she would work on it. Well 20 minutes later I asked her if she was still working on it? Never asked my husband if he wanted a refill on his soda. Water glasses were not refilled but the beer was. Dinner was over a 100 dollars. The restaurant was not busy actually pretty empty. I got up and got my to go container. My daughter got up and asked for our check and was told she would get our waitress. To many up charges and lack of service is why we won’t be back. You used to be my favorite Juan’s but I will learn to like Plaza.

I ordered 12 hot wings tonight . Six Mango Habenreo and 6 sweet barbque when my waitress brought out my order there was 16. It turns out that on Thursday you have a special of 16 wings for $ 8.00. The wings were delicious , especially the mango habenreo. I posted on Facebook that you guys have the best wings in Gloucester County. I will see you again next week

it used to be good The waitresses don't really do much like they used to they just sit around and takes almost 11 minutes or so to get something to drink and some more salsa and chips and now with their new menu you got to pay almost $3 to refill of chips and salsa and it's a refill for your drink which is watered down with ice I don't recommend this place scam

Excellent Mexican restaurant and a favorite in Gloucester. Drinks are as good as the food. Great lunch menu, and they are even open for brunch on the weekends. Chori Pollo lunch and Speedy Gonzales lunch are favorites of mine. Enchiladas Rancheras for dinner. Great chips, salsa and margaritas, too. Frequent specials, always tasty. There are many reasons why it's always got happy customers at tables.

The host barely said two words to us and our server was snappish. She dropped the bill and then almost immediately doubled back around to demand in a confrontational way if we were done with the bill. Most of the food was dry and unflavored except for the kids beef taco and burrito which had copious amounts of oil. Even the chips were stale and when we asked for white sauce the server rolled her eyes. We’re not complainers usually, but the only good thing about our meal was the clean and pleasant environment. We didn’t ask to speak to the manager as the staff was rude enough to deter us from wanting a further confrontation. Our drinks did get switched out as they emptied which was a plus and the only reason for my 2 stars for service.

Got to my table which had macaroni and cheese all over the seat and there was 6 flies in the window. We ordered our drinks and my wife had some big black thing floating in her water and then the waitress was confused as to why we asked for another. Only going to plaza from here on out.

Ordered from Juan's twice through doordash delivery. Both times I ordered the queso dip that comes with the chips and a side of one sliced avocado. The first time I received the correct items and the food was amazing. But today I received missing items the slice avocado in its own container was completely missing so I could not eat my food. I was offered a $3 credit. But I spent $21 in total with a tip and I have no way to pick up the avocado. So can't eat my food until I can either pay extra to have something redelivered or somehow pick it up myself. I live in Hayes Virginia and it's not easy getting all the way up there which is why I chose delivery. But again the food is still great if you can't make sure you're getting the correct items. I've read other reviews about the food being great but items missing and I have to say that's definitely true. Again great food just make sure everything is there.

We decided to do takeout 08/10/2024. Upon calling, I could tell it was either a new employee answering the phone or that there would be a language barrier. After saying my order twice to the first gentleman (who lacked phone etiquette), a woman took over to whom I had to repeat three more times. In the process of the order, she repeated as I said, basically confirming that she had it under control. We ordered the Big Juan with a side of queso dip. I specifically said (you guessed it!) all five of those times we wanted NO CHICKEN and EXTRA STEAK.
Upon arrival to pickup the food, they repeated the order CORRECTLY back to us. We were excited - we haven't been out for good food in a loooong time so we were surely looking forward to it.
We got home and saw a regular Big Juan - no extra steak, including chicken. The queso dip was basically warm milk. I think the Pico de Gallo was the only food that was how it should have been, maybe a day past perfect but still edible. We usually get the good ol' chips and salsa/white dip as a complimentary palate starter, but we were disappointed to not even have those. The prices reflected on the online menu are not up to date. We paid 15% more than expected. I certainly hope they are not scamming customers like this in house.

We've gone to Juan's since they've come to Hayes. The quality (or lack thereof) has gone downhill substantially and I can surprisingly see that reflected in the reviews
