We visited today from Ohio and was hoping for good food very disappointed!!$40 of nasty food ! I ordered chicken tacos as they were on a limited menu so sides were very limited as well and I ordered baked beans chicken tacos were so smoky tasing that I could not even eat them horrible my husband tasted said eww as well then I was like I will eat my beans I was not impressed but hungry starting eating them and some slimy fat was in them needless to say didn’t finish them. Next my husband ordered pulled pork platter Mac n cheese baked beans and it came with a baby corn muffin the corn muffin was the best thing besides the sweet tea!! Pork was better than the chicken on the smoke tasting level but still not good my husband since eating said he has the worst heartburn .save ur money don’t go my advise!the people were friendly that was a blessing so thank u for ur niceness but tone the smoke way down on the meats and leave the slimy fat out the beans!

Had a fantastic experience with Scoot's BBQ! Got it for lunch and was not disappointed. Tender and delicious brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. If you are in the area, it is a must try!

I have been to Scoot's several times and have always had great food there and great service. But I am leaving this review because they saved the day for my family last weekend. We were having my brother's Celebration of Life ceremony and had bought 50lbs worth of pulled pork from Sam's club the day before which turned out to be mostly unusable. With such short notice we were told by other restaurants that there was nothing they can do. Scoot's was able to get us what we needed that same day and saved our celebration. It was delicious and everyone that was there( about 200 or more people) was complementing on how good it was. Moral of the story, buy local, especially Scoot's BBQ.

Do you wanna feel like you dropped a 20 point buck at 500 yards on day one of the season? Then eat at Scoots BBQ. Do you wanna feel like you won the lottery and are on your way to pick up the truck of your dreams? Then eat at Scoots BBQ. Do you wanna have a day where your wife only compliments your beer gut and says how hot you are while bringing you an ice cold one? Then eat at Scoots BBQ. But seriously, while those things might not happen, you can feel the exact same thing eating at the best BBQ place in Virginia!

Counter service in a quaint setting along route 17. Spacious seating, but needs to be updated (booths torn). The food service to the table was quick , under 3 minutes for 2 orders. The good, sauce, and baked beans very good temp. The mac and cheese was cool at best and the scoot's pulled pork was delicious but cool as well. 1 of the sandwiches was a bit on the fatty side. We would come back but order something else, reasonable prices.

Good people serving amazing food. Love the outdoor eating area and that brisket! Yum! And also came here because I can’t thank them enough for the good deed they did. I left my purse (with phone and credit cards) in the ladies room and proceeded to drive far away😵‍💫And the good people there mailed it to me! Thank you for being my heroes! 👏

The food is amazing. I had the crab cakes!!!! Perfect. The sides were seasoned. My boyfriend had brisket. And I'm not a fan of brisket, but here!!! But here.... loved it!! Sweet tea perfect too.

Service was awful, food took over an hour to get. Messed up order, made poor excuses and never tried to make it right. Management does a bad job, clearly owner doesn’t care. Will not return.

Well worth the hour travel time. This was by far the best barbecue we've had in a long time.

I placed a Web order and was given a pickup time for about 50 minutes later. I know this place is popular and therefore usually busy at dinner. However, when I arrived, I had to wait another 45 minutes! After 20 minutes, I asked the hostess if there was a problem. She said it wasn’t ready. 10 minutes after that, I asked again and she said my order was just going in. The hostess was matter a fact and offered no apologies. She said they had a lot of chicken orders. I would like acknowledgement that the web app time is not accurate. I’m tired hungry and a bit angry that they didn’t even try to make me feel better about waiting 45 minutes longer than the estimated wait time. And the chicken was not as good as I remember. In the future, I’ll stick with Scoot’s pulled pork which never disappoints. Unless I have another excessive wait time.

Good smelling BBBQ as you enter. Really wanted to love the food, as we love the sister restaurant, Olivia's. BBQ wings and Buffalo wings were both meaty, with good smokey taste. But both were dry. Fried okra was good.
Updating my review after eating the ribs. These were top notch. They were much better than the wings.

Usually great fried Chicken. Barbecue is great and very smoky. Recently they have been unable to get your chicken order on time so be prepared for an hour or two wait.
