I was having a terrible day, and The Goochland Restaurant completely turned it around. My son and I stopped in for breakfast and were welcomed like family. We had the breakfast sandwiches, grits, and hashbrowns—all so comforting and delicious. The food hit the spot, but what really moved me was the kindness and sense of community.
Someone even paid for our meal—an unexpected act of generosity that meant so much to me. This place has something really special: a giant community table where strangers can sit down, share a meal, and walk away as friends. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a reminder that there’s still so much good in the world. Thank you, Goochland Restaurant, for feeding our bellies and our spirits. We’ll definitely be back. ❤️

The food was absolutely AMAZING!! I got the French toast (which is from France for cleaner ingredients) and grits. The grits were homemade and were by far the best I’ve ever had! The owner Christine is super friendly and took time to sit and talk to my Fiancé and I. I will 100% be back and recommend it to anyone!!

Food was so good and service was great! We sat at the community table and the people around us were great company. We also got a loaf of homemade sour dough and I don’t think it made it 2 days in our house. We will definitely be back!

We happened into the restaurant as we traveled and were greeted by Lauren. Even though they were very busy she made us feel relaxed and got us our food in a timely manner. There were several other menu items that I would love to try sometime.

This morning my two grandchildren (ages 20 and 14) and I had delicious breakfasts and a wonderful visit at the Goochland Restaurant. It was my third time to eat there and my grandchildren’s first. We definitely will go again. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was just like hometown and family!

We had a wonderful lunch today with the family. The food was delicious and very affordable, the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Even the other patrons were kind and generous. The restaurant has a little game where children can find hidden stuffed animals in the restaurant to win prizes. The owner herself made sure the griddle was cleaned so our food didn’t come in contact with pork and was happy to do so. Very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Did lunch for two. Wrap was inedible, and didn’t include all of ingredients. Breakfast had white bread instead of rye toast and bacon was inedible. Won’t be back.
