I was passing through town, saw they had coffee, ordered a latte, it was great, and the front counter person was super-friendly. Didn't get a baked good or lunch, but prices looked reasonable as did the baked goods.

On Friday, August 24, 2023. at Kracek Kakes in Gordonsville, Va;, we ordered the "Toasted" BLT and the Chicken Pot Pie.In all my years of eating in restaurants, this was the WORST SANDWICH i have ever been served! The "BLT" contained NO "B!" Instead, it had ONE TWO-INCH limp piece of pre-cooked meat on each side.So, I paid $9 for two pieces of not really "toasted" bread filled with a lot of ice burg lettuce and tomato as well as two 2 inch pieces of fake "bacon." They should have been ashamed to serve this. I received no apology, so I requested and received a refund. I didn't dare try anything else.My husband's $5.50 "Chicken Pot Pie" was a surprisingly small FOUR INCH ROUND PIELET. The taste was OK, but it was NOT HOT.After reading the rave reviews for Kracek Kakes, we were shocked at the food and, needless to say, would not return.

Stop here every time I can while traveling through- such a cute shop with delicious coffee, pastries, and food! I look forward each time and highly recommend!!!

The food is good and I enjoyed the coffee. There is not however a great customer focus. It wasn't possible to customize my orders because "the system doesn't allow for it".
