Brx American Bistro

My husband and I were driving to Arlington for a quick weekend trip. We needed somewhere to eat later in the evening. We came into the restaurant less than an hour before closing and they were so kind to seat us with very few people still in the restaurant. Not only were they kind enough to seat us, all of the staff was very attentive, very understanding, and so kind. Even as we were leaving, the staff gave us recommendations for other restaurants in the DC area for the rest of our trip! Overall the food was very good, and the service was amazing!

They hosted a Camus wine dinner that was amazing. The chef really knows what he is doing.

Tried the NY strip and really enjoyed it, but it could use a little more flavor and the veggies would be even better with a bit more grill. Everything else was great. The staff was super friendly and the place looks amazing. The apple tart for dessert was awesome and totally worth it. I’d definitely come back.

Really good from the start! The bread and butter/oil was good enough to ruin your meal. Be careful. I had the scallops with mushroom risotto, and it was so delicious. The scallops were soft and tender. The risotto was rich a creamy with the citrus sauce. Every bite was full of flavor. For dessert, I had the bread pudding with house made ice cream. Rich but not so rich that you can only have a few bites. I ate the whole thing and didnt feel one bit sorry about my decision. I highly recommend giving the a try. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they have a beautiful outdoor seating area covered by natural vines and plants.

Love this place. It's a great atmosphere with even better food and drinks. Service was attentive, but we were outside and they were busy, so drinks took a little longer than usual. The waiter was VERY accommodating in finding the right bottle of wine.

Always a lovely evening with good food and excellent service. Be sure to sit on the patio, weather permitting.

Really disappointed in the food. Service was great, but we were really disappointed in the food especially since we have eaten here a number of times and have never experienced what we experienced last night. It was almost like they didn't want to be open. Too bad.

Can't go wrong dining at Brxx. The food and ambience is always perfect. Staff always makes you feel at home!

I think they were short staffed the night we went. We waited 20 minutes after being seated for our cocktails to get to the table. Our server was very courteous and friendly but seemed new and even though they were short staffed I never saw anyone come out to the dining area to assist. If we didn't have to wait for our cocktails that long I'm sure most everything else would have been over looked since we were on a date and had no rush to be anywhere. Food was good. We had the lobster dumplings (very little filling) and filet. But neither were enough to make us want to revisit in the near future.

The children in our area seem to lack a level of discipline that results in unpleasant dining experiences in our restaurants and the staff are reluctant to ask them to be a little quieter. The noise level from several kids with their families that night was so loud my guests could not hear one another. This problem has kept me from coming to this restaurant for some time as it has always been a problem. I don't know why the staff cannot help with this. Affluence seems to give permission to behave without consideration for others most noticeably in Great Falls. It didn't used to be this way.

Pasta is homemade, so pasta dishes are excellent! Our waiter was Jose, very thoughtful and knowledgeable. Made our experience so enjoyable. We will be back again soon!

Very nice space and a lovely dining area outside in the rear. Food is very good. Nice bar.
