Great service as usual. Pasta was a little hard. The spaghetti sauce was not as flavorful as previous visits.

I took our young daughter on a date; the place is beautiful and the service kind, courteous and fast. The issue was that my filet mignon was re-heated in the microwave resulting in a steak that was 40% super overcooked and the rest was well done when my original requested “temperature” was medium . When I raised the issue with the waiter, all I got was a short apology and at the end of the meal a full check. In my mind that this is a sign of a mismanaged restaurant. Customers deserve better.

It's our kitchen across the way! We are blessed to have Dante's & it's wonderful food!! Owner is so dedicated with a commitment to the finest in Italian traditions. Rosanna & Michael Cohen

Best spot for date night in McLean! Affordable, great food, and best of all the ambiance and old school charm is sure to impress your lady friend; if not, find a better caliber of woman!

Been a long time since we ate at Dantes. The hostess appeared to be a young teenager (14+/-) that was not dressed appropriately to be a hostess in a white table cloth restaurant. Calamari didn't have much flavor and was too heavily breaded. My wife liked the Dover Sole. My veal ravioli was good but didn't really taste the veal. Dessert (ricotta/pistachio cake) was the highlight. A bit noisy too. Service felt rushed, maybe because it was Valentine's Day. Overall a good value but I remember it to be a much nicer place for a romantic dinner.

We go there for lunch primarily on special occasions. We think it's the best northern Italian food in NOVA. Lunch is more relaxed, less crowded and lunch is a great value. Beautiful old house, too. Highly recommend. Never been disappointed.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and very fresh. The server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the food. We'll definitely be coming back.

Charming historical home from the 1800's with delicious pasta from scratch. Hidden gem that's been in business since 1989. There's a reason they've been successful for so long. Top notch.

Quaint restaurant perfect for lunch with an old friend or a business client. Staff were very polite, helpful and not intrusive. Food was presented well, and tasted delicious. will definitely be back again.

Dante's is consistently great. A beautiful building to dine in. The service is always attentive and helpful. The food is tasty and they are always willing to modify it to your tastes or allergy/intolerance. We will be back.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Definitely 5 stars in that area. But the service was abysmal. The waiter would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time. We got there at 6:30 and didn’t leave until 10:15 mostly because of the bad service. Nice guy but either they were spread too thin or a complete lack of management. But there was no one in our party who thought this was an acceptable level of service.

We had a wonderful NYE dinner, the restaurant is in a house & it was beautifully lit for the holidays. The service was amazing, the food was great and we had a very nice experience.

I feel that the place is not what it used to be, the service was mediocre, the waitress tried but she didn't seem to be knowledgeable with the menu, I felt rushed to order and eat. The white table clothes and decor show more than what the restaurant has to offer. The food presentation was not great either, I asked to have the potato cake which was offered with my dish but it came a few minutes after my dish arrived, it was a lump of mashed potatoes just like a scoop you'll get at a diner or hospital! I'm sad because we like Dante but yesterday's experience left me to rethink about going back. The risotto Milanese served with the osso bucco lacked taste and flavor. I wish they update their food presentation and train their staff a bit better

This restaurant is fantastic. We had a group function here for 17 people. From the first Contact in making the reservation, through the conclusion of our dinner, everything this restaurant did was outstanding. The historic home in which this restaurant is located is amazing. The staff is absolutely incredible, every single one of them, particularly Eddie who took care of our group.

Quaint dining experience. Their house wine specials are extremely reasonable ($40-50 for a bottle and the Cab Sav/Merlot choice we had was outstanding!). The bacon wrapped scallops and lasagna are must-haves. The salad with hearts of palm was just ok - it included gherkin pickles which were not listed on the menu. The crab and shrimp ravioli was great and the sole was nicely cooked. The waiter was very attentive for seemingly having more than six tables in just our section and taking care of a different section too. Would come here again!
