My wife and I were in the area and looked for a nearby place to eat lunch. We settled on El Tío and were not disappointed. Everything was great; thin an and crispy tortilla chips, freshly made salsa, great service, and meals tasted great with large portion sizes. Both our meals included fresh guacamole and again a nice portion for each. We’ll be coming back for sure.

The restaurant was very relaxing, bare necessities, warm and welcoming staff.The special of the day seemed safe enough to order as it was a BBQ sandwich, fries and Cole slaw on the side.The BBQ seemed like a Dinty Moore product and the slaw was like mush.It is what it is but I'd pass this place up next time.

Had a great dinner here last night. Started off with a refreshing and delicious margarita alongside some tasty chips and salsa. I also ordered the queso which was excellent and not watered down like so many others are. Had a beef burrito platter for dinner and it was very fresh and good. Wish I took pics of the food but I ate it too quickly!

The staff was very accommodating for our large group. The queso dip with pico de gallo and chopped jalapenos on the side was perfect for me and my friend since I like spice and she doesn't, but my chicken tamal and chile relleno were not very flavorful.

I stopped here to get only chips, salsa and guac on a Thursday night and it took more than 30 mins for a to go order...I asked what was taking so long they said it was being made fresh...10 mins later I decided to cancel my order very frustrating.. at one point the hostess asked me if she should go check for my order..that seemed very odd to me. The place looks nice but overall I had not a great experience at all and it was also kind of expensive anyways so I probably wouldn't go back since it took so long for a simple order...

The staff was nice but it seemed like half of them didn't speak English very well, which is fine, but we asked them which dish was which when they put the plates down on the table and the server couldnt answer; hard to see what everything is when it's covered in cheese, so being able to understand what is in each plate is important.Pictured is the Mexican combo #10: Chile relleno and spinach enchilada. The spinach enchilada was just ok, but the relleno was good, albeit small. Most of what you see is just cheese on top. Guac and pico de Gallo on the side was delicious.
