The Brasserie knows how to celebrate a birthday. The food, wine, service and hospitality were top notch, as always.

Outstanding food and service. Perfect for family gathering with visitors. Also, we had three folks with hearing aids and had a reservation for inside, but were quickly accommodated with an outside table that was much quieter.

It was our first time to the restaurant. Much better than we expected, all the way around. Great service great food.

Our waiter David was EXCEPTIONAL The Maitre D Danny was professional courteous and accommodating Any concerns were addressed promptly and to our satisfaction L'Auberge chez François has been our family favorite European restaurant for REAL Alsace cuisine for over 40 years Including both before and after the fire Having European roots ... few American restaurants have this level of professionalism

Always, always, each time - every single visit, this place is five stars. The halibut and the veal were both spectacular. Treat yourself, celebrate, and enjoy a great meal with a French country vibe.

We enjoyed Jacques' as usual. We had the chicken, liver and halibut and all were superb. Our food service was a little slower than usual but worth the wait.

The maitre d Danny greets you with a big smile and that is the start of a delicious evening. The service is very good and the food amazing. There was a Beef Wellington special our night which was a treat.

Everything was excellent. The food, the service, the seating. They even adjusted the temperature when wifey got chilly. What a great restaurant.

The Brasserie is a very pleasant, less formal dining area at L'Auberge Chez Francois. The service and food are excellent despite the more casual setting. We would recommend it highly as a lovely option for dining well and/or celebrating in the comfortable ambience of a garden-facing pub at an Alsatian country inn.

Consistent service and food excellence.

Love the brasserie downstairs at Chez Francois restaurant. Highly recommend. Super old school classic French restaurant. Feels like it’s been here 50yrs, because it has. Menu includes French country classics and the atmosphere is French country chic. Not cool hip downtown restaurant. Everyone here comes in once a week, knows the staff and has been coming for 20yrs. Makes it feel like high end neighborhood place. Really enjoyed the experience and highly recommend. Try to garlic bread, lobster bisque, escargot, Dover sole, and pre order the soufflé - requires 45min notice.

Old fashioned elegant brassiere. (brunch) food and service disappoint.

Try: lobster omlette, unusual pairing that works, even if the mushrooms both in the omlette and on the side with hollandaise sauce don't jive.
Avoid: filet Benedict: two Benedict eggs on bread with two pieces of filet on the side.

Try: chocolate suffle

Slow service despite the abundance of staff

A solid 4.5 star for food (wish I could give those but there’s no such option). Old school vibes meaning the waiters could be a bit snobbish but not too bad. Loved their soufflé and tomato salad. Other things are good but not super impressive.

Their basement seats are quite awful so your experience could vary given where you sit. In one of my dining experiences with them, we had a window seat in the basement but spending half of the meal time preventing the fly family landing on our food. The staffs were helpful and got rid of them fairly fast - however another fly family quickly filled in.. My experiences with other seats (outdoors or upper level) were good tho.
