We went to The Old Brogue for Father’s Day dinner. We have been there many times in the past. However, the meals Sunday evening were subpar. In particular the Meatloaf which was horrible, unlike any meatloaf we’ve ever eaten before. It was inedible. The Beef Stroganoff, one of their specials, was also not very good. As I mentioned, normally their food is very good but it was a really bad meal for most of us. Also we were seated next to the kitchen door which was so noisy (we asked on the way out and they stated that it had just been put in the week before and they knew if the issue!).

The fish and chips was a little too fried so it wasnt wonderful. Maybe they were just having a bad day. The chicken wings were not crispy at all. Which even if covered in sauce should still maintain the crisp factor. We loved the onion rings. We will return and try more stuff!

A group of friends meets here periodically for lunch. Today, there were nine of us. The staff are always accommodating and there is no hassle when we linger to chat.
Vegetarian options: There is a wonderful beet and walnut salad with plenty of greens and a lovely lightvdressing.

Excellent spot, vibe is great, and the food and drink are awesome. From Shepard's Pie to French Onion Soup to Chicken Parm, and more, they do an amazing job with both Irish traditional favorites and others. Extensive cocktail menu, all well crafted by the outstanding bartenders.

Cozy old school Irish Bar with live music on Friday nights. Great/attentive bartenders, although I did not order any food, everything I saw being delivered out to customers looked worth trying.
Stopped in for their traditional Irish breakfast. One of the few restaurants that does provide it. Tasty.

I think it just wasn't what I expected. We arrived around 10:50am and thought that maybe the coffee house was still open but they weren't, which was fine. We sat outside since we knew the Irish pub was now serving lunch and we waited a good 20 minutes until we got our own menus to look at (I understand there is turnover between breakfast and lunch but we at least needed a menu). It took a long time to get someone to then take our order. The outside area is really lovely to sit in for lunch but the overall service was kinda rough. Then, we got out meals. While my food was good, I found a hair in my food, which I understand that these things happen. They were very nice when I asked them if they could make me another one and they were very very quick about bringing another meal outside. Overall, an okay experience and the food was decent. Just not totally sure I would go back (definitely not during lunchtime).
