Pisco sour Drinks serve in wrong glass actually the service was so bad and rude.... they pretend to be a good restaurant but instead they are so bad the tamales were horrible they were just a solid block of flour and cheap butterThe dish with anticucho to be share for $35 had good flavor but the amount was ridiculous, the ceviche was 3.8 out a 10 and the charcoal chicken was dry if I was a white guy and didn't know they could have half fool me but being from Peru I can say this restaurant is lucky to have good reviews and still in business MOST OF ALL THEY WERE RUDE I can dismiss the food being poor taste and quality but I won't forgive a business that serve others with bad attitude and are disrespectful

I had the pleasure of dining at Pio Pio twice, and I must say they were truly delightful experiences. As a Peruvian myself, I was pleasantly surprised by how the food reminded me of my mother's home-cooked meals. The flavors were authentic and transported me back to my roots. What sets Pio Pio apart is their unwavering commitment to culinary excellence. They are constantly striving to improve their dishes, ensuring that each visit is a new and exciting experience. If you are in search of a restaurant that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, paired with delectable food that pays homage to traditional Peruvian cuisine, then I highly recommend Pio Pio. You won't be disappointed!
Food was amazing per usual. My only minor complaint is that it is a bit heavy on the salted side. Other than that, the meat was cooked perfectly, rice was to die for and the fries weren’t soggy which is great! I typically order Lomo Saltado con carne and it was perfect. As someone who has tried varies different Hispanic locations this is by far one of the best. I added some Alfajors which were PERFECT. So soft it seemed like they were fresh out the oven. The chicha was the closest thing I felt like drinking some in my home in Peru.

Very good authentic Peruvian food. I've tried different places, try their ceviche mixto o sopa del Tigre. Highly recommended and it's in Northern VA so convenient for

The restaurant is very clean and cozy, Johana was very cordial at the time of our arrival and was able to accommodate my family as soon as possible and the attention of our waiter German was excellent, we love this restaurant, definitely recommended.
Quality of food was top shelf and great value only recommendation is to make the place of a bit bigger. We came here on a Sunday after church and it was packed around 130. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back here regularly.

The food is six stars, unfortunately the service staff is few and the tables are full, so I couldn't follow up on the orders, the place is already too small.

Ordered food 1 hr before reaching the Restaurant and paid for the food. Front desk person asked the kitchen about the food, they said it’s not ready because they forgot. It’s Monday and they had barely had any customers.

Delicious Peruvian food in a cozy, albeit rather small, space. My all-time favorite restaurant in the DMV and worth the rather lengthy winding drive there. Favorite dishes for our family include causa frita with lomo, lomo saltado, anticuchos, pulpo, and trilogía ceviche. Chicha morada drink and passion fruit cheesecake or mousse are also wonderful.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere and large sized kids meals.
The restaurant staff was friendly, and the food was good. We ordered the trio with jalea, arroz con mariscos and ceviche, and the portion was so large that we two people couldn’t finish it & took out most of the arroz con mariscos. The chica (purple corn juice) here was also pretty authentic. The only part that we didn’t like was that the jalea (fried seafood) was not crispy enough. Overall, it’s a nice Peruvian restaurant.
