Wow, SO GOOD. Ive eaten a lot of Afghan food. This was truly delicious. As an indicator, the flat bread is made fresh at the restaurant. Tons of excellent vegetarian options (and of course plenty of meat options). They grow some of their own vegetables on the premises. One of the owners is the main server. He's hilarious and charming. I look forward to going back with an empty stomach.

Fake Afghan Microwave Food – Avoid at All Costs
This place is a total scam. The food was absolutely tasteless and bland — nothing remotely Afghan about it. The plate and food came out extremely hot, clearly microwaved, not freshly cooked. One of the soda cans we got was expired — I had to send it back.
Save your money and your taste buds. This isn't authentic cuisine — it's just overpriced microwave meals pretending to be a restaurant.

We had an excellent meal at Zamarod on Saturday. It is astounding that this small restaurant can turn out such varied, high-quality selections. The owner is attentive, helpful, and delightfully droll. We ate well and had leftovers for lunch the next day. Tip: even in the summer, do not miss the wonderful soups. This is a hidden gem! (price cited included wine).

Not good service
I cant say enough good things about Zamrod. Every single thing we tried was tasty and amazing. Loved their Aush soup and samoosa and mantoo appetizers. All their meats were marinated well and were very tasty. Also, loved their subzei! I tried their short ribs special and it was wonderful. We will be back soon!!
Personal service with delicious food.

Just got home from a wonderful meal served by the owner of this great restaurant. His wife cooks the food that was amazing. The flavors were spot on.
I had the short ribs that was the special. My wife had a lamb dish. The portions were generous. Dessert was awesome.
The service was great and friendly. I really loved the relaxed atmosphere.
Drove from Germantown Md. To this Virginia restaurant and I can't wait to go back.
My first visit was to pick up takeout for a friend in the area. Delicious! And v friendly.

It’s a small, beautifully decorated restaurant with outdoor seating.
It was not busy when we went, so the food came out pretty fast and was really good.
The waiter was slightly grumpy, which showed a bit, but he was still nice enough.
We had a Aushack, Sombosa, Combo Kebob & a Kebob Gosfund.
There was also a really nice green spicy sauce that came with the sambosas that went well with the meats.
Will def go again as we’re in the area on wknds.

Both my wife and I got sick. The rice was very stale and a few days old. The quality of the lamb chops was really poor. Overall the quality of food was really poor and most likely the reason we got severely sick and threw up.

Ok I guess. I feel sorry for them. They don't get much traffic during the day. Maybe we'll try it at evening
