My wife and I stopped in after voting. We found a table pretty easily, though they were pretty busy. This is a very nice small town restaurant. It has a very comfortable, cozy atmosphere. I can't remember what my wife ordered, but she thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the omelet with cheese, peppers, and onions. It came with toast. My wife doesn't like grits, so she gave me the bowl t hat came with her plate. I also ordered a hotcake. The omelet was awesome! The grits were perfectly prepared, and the hotcake was equally prepared. That was one of the best breakfasts I've had in quite a while. The staff was very friendly. Our server was spot on. She kept check on us while taking care of others as well. I don't eat out around here often. The Packhouse is definitely my new favorite breakfast spot.

The Packhouse is a quaint little diner in Halifax. They serve breakfast and lunch and also offer catering. The Cheese Steak sandwich is outstanding, the tomato soup is one of the best I've ever had. We're eager to try their breakfast.

I really wanted to give more stars but couldn't justify it. In a word... 'BLAND' sums up any of the food on the menu. When I walk in I didn't smell the LOVE in the air nor taste it in varied selections.Having grown up eating at some amazing downtown Mom/Pop restaurants and truck stops like STUCKEY'S my expectations are high.I look forward to coming back, just in case my first visit was a fluke or just a bad day.

We got there at 1138am they turned us around and said we are not taking no more orders!!!! "We serve breakfast until 12 "is what the internet said and the hours. We are from out of town and drive from our hotel to be turned down 22 mins before closing. If you are going to stop serving food at 1130 or what time you stop you need to put this on your website and hours.

What a sweet little place! The food was pretty good and the service was great and definitely smiling. The place seems to be super popular for good reason.we will be back whenever we are in the area.

Parking: We were able to park the truck and trailer in a back lot next to the library with no problem. Less than a blocks walk.
