Just had my first meal as takeout with 540 Empanada House and it was very good. Good portions, tasty food, very friendly. It is a definite “do again” place. Really like the selection of fillings and the beans/rice were full of flavor too.
The place is small and very clean. We will be eating in the next time.
Impulsively decided to try this place out after going to Food Maxx for the first time. I’m Puerto Rican and make my own empanadas so I’m usually hesitant to try out empanadas cause I’ve had experiences of bland ones at restaurants. I’m very glad I decided to try this restaurant. I got the beef chipotle, jalapeño chicken, shrimp & spinach, and the chorizo empanadas. So far I’ve had the shrimp/spinach & chorizo both were excellent and flavorful! They did not skimp...
