Asked for 1 pound brisket thinking sliced, got 1 pound chopped mixed with bbq sauce and it wasnt my cup of tea.. Cole slaw was great, fried zucchini was good. Pricier than I was expecting.

This place is a really great spot to stop in for a bite. Conveniently located just off 81 along the infamous Route 11 just north of Harrisonburg.

BBQ Ranch has been around for a really long time, and has served people from all walks of life over the years. (Including a Vice President)

Feeling nostalgic?
This place is a actually a drive-in, like back in the 50's! But it's more common just to park and go inside where the atmosphere is also nostalgic from the good ole days. There is even a juke box. The restaurant is decorated with pig 🐖 memorabilia, and is quite cozy.

There are a lot of car meets that come by during the summer time.

The only thing that I do not like is that it seems like there is no ventilation for the fryer. The air is THICK with fryer grease and food smoke, but it's manageable since the food is so good.

The owner, Faye, still oversees things from her seat just inside the kitchen. She is every bit a part of the nostalgia that she created all those years ago. Often times you will catch a glimpse of her when you pay at the register.

As I mentioned before the food here is fantastic, and the service is usually friendly and attentive as well.

I definitely encourage you to stop by and grab a bite to eat. The pork BBQ is one of my favorites and just one of the many items this place is famous for! Be sure to get an order of the fried pickles and wing dings!!

I'm so glad we stopped here! Really good BBQ sandwiches with excellent onion rings for an equally palatable price. We'll definitely stop here again when we're near. I love places like this.

The worst brisket I have ever had. The rib sandwich was full of fat and not good. The service was fair but not friendly.

It's not BBQ. It's food made poorly with BBQ sauce.

My daughter is now at JMU so I searched for a great local place near by. We first went with her roommate and the roommate's family after orientation. We were thrilled by the environment and sat down. We had a full pork night. Pork sandwich and ribs. I lt was excellent. The waitress was so friendly. Just a great time and great food.
When I dropped off my dear daughter I went back for the brisket sandwich. Simply incredible, I called friends back in NY to tell them a grabbed a sandwich and we should make a pilgrimage to the Bar-b-que Ranch.
I will be back

The food was absolutely delicious and the sweet tea is amazing. If your traveling to or near Harrisburg you definitely should stop by and grab you some food. The staff are all sweet and down to earth.

Worst place to stop and eat would not recommend. The food is nasty and terrible. They are rude and will give you crazy looks.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Super cute, tiny country restaurant with amazing food and history! Wonderful people and DELICIOUS FOOD! Definitely recommend the BBQ sandwich with the coleslaw, my husband got the brisket and was just as pleased. We also saw AMAZING LOOKING and smelling sizzling steaks pass us a couple of times to other tables and the room was filled with amazing smells and happy faces. Truly cute, homey, and a treasure of a hole in the wall place along side 42, right off the 81 exit! Sooooooo worth the stop!!!!

Food was great! We were looking for something that wasn’t typical fast food on our trip and decided to give it a try! Pulled pork and brisket were very good! Even bought a jar of bbq sauce to take home! 🐷 🐖
